Oilers reportedly would want Simmonds, Coburn and either Couturier or Laughton for Nail Yakupov and Hemsky.

- Genev21

I hope that happens. Philly would be done for a while. What idiot would trade Simmonds and Coburn - the lone good Dman to Edmonton for Hemsky and Yak? Oooopppsss, Holmgren would. This can't be a rumor.

Not that Edmonton would consider trading yak at this point it would be a buy low opportunity. I'm pretty excited for tonights game. We rarely get to see Eberle and Hall on the East coast. I know the Oilers are going down the wrong path but they are 2 extremely talented young players. LGP!!!

If the pens don't feel Orpik will be back/is to expensive, and Depress is moved for another asset, then I could definately see them extending Nisk for the right price. That would of course mean he doesn't get moved this year.
- ChrisMS

Agree, these are some of the points I would have made.....

I don't think Orpik is back next year. Martin's contract expires after next season. Letang tends to be pretty fragile and Nisky is an adequate fill-in. This management team doesn't appear to trust young defensmen and I don't think they're going to rely on 3 or 4 guys with less than 2 years of NHL experience at that position.

If Nisky continues to play well, I think it's very possible he gets extended.

I really dont see Niskanen back after this year. Whether he's moved or allowed to walk as a free agent is the question, but he's more of a luxury player on the Pens, one they wont be able to afford next year.

Off days are boring. There's a lot of questions until game 9 is played for Maata.

I don't know...a couple of air sickness bags on top of the bucket of pucks he's already expected to fetch in return is a pretty steep asking price.

I know the same story is boring and all but that's what we have right now. Fortunately that won't last long.

On a serious note though, we're looking at a pretty cool matchup. I had tickets for the Penguins/Oilers game at CEC last year before the lockout. It's a shame that I can't be at this one but it should be fun to watch.

I'm wondering how Kobasew will fare on the 2nd line with Malkin and Jokinen. Everything he's done so far has been terrific.

Saw that coming. Bylsma confirmed it'd be a 4th line guy if anybody to replace the gap from Bennett.

Harry Z has played well so far in WBS. It had to be Sill or him.

I'm assuming he will replace Kobasew on the 3rd line. With the way the 4th line has been clicking

Probably so. Like Dead said: I hope to God he stays out of the box. The PK really had it's issues the past 2 games, even though it wasn't all bad. We just don't need to give Edmonton any help. Their PP is one of their most dangerous elements...as you'd expect.

Finish checks and give puck support.

Dude has no concern for his safety when it comes to crashing the net. As a confirmed puss I admire that in a player.

He certainly does. I don't mind that at all.

I do have my concerns about him getting a 'Shanaban' though

He better be playing in control. Only way we lose tonight is if we spend the game in the box. Dubnyk is a disaster.

The old Cooke yes. Malkin has to be like the new one.
