Bill, Thanks for the post practice update.

Good to hear Baby Schenn has no ill effects from the collision with Wayne Train.

I'm on board with keeping Gusty, McGinn, and Raffl in the line up.
Those guys looked fast compared to the rest of the team.

Interesting thoughts on the PP struggle.

G and Jake missing time with early season injuries could explain a lot about the slow start so far, for the offense and not just the PP>

Ugh, Tim Sestito makes it 2-0 devils over Phantoms with a penalty shot goal. Holmstrom sent to the locker room early for jawing with the ref. End of the 1st.

Isn't Holmstrom the Phantoms Captain? He's setting a great example.

I get Gus not playing at first so they can show that Mez is still all in one piece and can (at least in theory) still play hockey. I can't imagine Mez being here by the end of the month, but I guess anything's possible.

I really hope McGinn grabs this opportunity and runs with it.

I think kimmo should be rested more in games, maybe saving him for certain situations. I love him but lets face it he is a 35+ age small d man. He uses his skating to make up for his size but his age might be getting to him. Thinking if we have him at 15-18 minutes a game he would have better legs. Maybe in some games play with 7 d man (not a fan of it) just so he is not dying out there. Who knows, but I like the flyers game against Detroit but of course the penalty kill was bad but emery ( didn't expect this) was awful, to many routine saves that went in at the worst times. Im more confident going into the Vancouver and the rest of the season though because of their play but still have work to do.

Yeah he is. My guess is that he was pissed about the penalty shot call, which was definitely a weak call. Still, he needs to lock it up

Honestly they had their skating legs, and they shot the puck and went to the net. Something the whole flyers team has not done.

Yup... Danis was beaten rather easily on both Albany goals.

I like McGinn and Raffl, but not sure how they both stay when Hartnell/Vinny come back.

(Lines can be changed around, but general idea):
Read - Giroux - Voracek
Schenn - Lecavalier - Simmonds
Hartnell - Couturier - McGinn/Raffl
Talbot - Hall - Rinaldo

Bill, do you think Union has a legit shot at being one of the teams playing in the Frozen Four at the WFC this year?

This is the Flyers. You honestly think no one else will go down to injury in the next month before Hartnell is due back?

They're forwards, not defensemen.

The stream I'm using isn't clear enough for me to see how hard the shots are, haha. But, it was clear that Danis saw both goals all the way, it seemed

And? Hartnell and Lecavalier are forwards. They went out in the same game and neither got touched.

That meets their forward quota for the quarter.

Nothing against Raffl, I just think McGinn's future (if he has one) is as a 3rd line guy who can play a bit higher in a pinch.

I don't know what the hell of Raffl is yet.

In Danis' defense, you can't stop the Sestito brothers.

You can only hope to contain them.

An outside shot perhaps... wouldn't call them a favorite, but then again they were a big underdog when they made that run season before last.

Phantoms have had a boatload of powerplays and scoring chances but can't convert. 6 min left in the 2nd period and still 2-0 albany.

This scoring drought is contagious, apparently...
