This is pretty bad Ian. Even if Yaks sat on the bench for the entire season his pedigree and contract alone would net more than that. You'd need to at least include some players that might actually improve the Oil, rather than throw more mid-tier bodies and a draft pick which they should have enough of by now.

Agreed, Edmonton would be foolish to trade away quality for quantity even though Lack and Jensen do have good upside. IMO it would have to be one of our top 4 defensemen(he'd have to waive) and another good asset for Yakupov. Not many GM's are lining up to trade away 1 very good asset for 3/4 good/mediocre ones, easier to find depth than it is to find potential top line scorers.

I could be way off, but that would be my thinking as a Oiler fan.
