That's the kind of think a good GM would/should be looking for a team in our cycle of development. Keeps you in the mix without having to Fail for Nail or whatever other euphemism is used for tanking for a number of seasons. Edmonton tried that, how's that working out?

Sounds reasonable to me but the Yak will most likely bolt to the KHL before next season.

Agreed. That trade attempt was sh!thouse. It would only make some semblance of sense if Myers was still playing at his rookie of the year form and Miller the Vancouver 2010 version. But they both seem far removed from those heights and have been for years.

This is pretty bad Ian. Even if Yaks sat on the bench for the entire season his pedigree and contract alone would net more than that. You'd need to at least include some players that might actually improve the Oil, rather than throw more mid-tier bodies and a draft pick which they should have enough of by now.
