I don't think Hansen and Higgins can get 40 between them but Santorelli and Booth had 40+ between them just a few years ago.

Sedins Burrows
Booth Santorelli Kesler
Higgins Schroeder Hansen
Weisse Richardson Kassian

- A_SteamingLombardi

I like those lines. I'd also split up the Sedins on nights when they're not dominant or the second line isn't generating scoring chances.

I think if it included a Jensen, Philly would at least consider it.

Realistic or not, I'm gonna fulfil my fantasy in NHL 14 tonight.

I didn't want to bring up nhl** as I like it when people put forward scenarios, takes a little guts even if it is on the internet.

And often in real life, some of the trades that take place, posters on forums would have felt embarrassed to put forward, but the trades usually address club needs.

When do you guys think Jensen is gonna be able to put something together and play a few games in the NHL?

When he changes his mindset. He has to learn to hustle just like his countryman Hansen.

The same could be said about Kassian IMO. He lights it up in the AHL, but he just doesn't have the drive top 9 guys have in the NHL.

Tools are there for both of them though.

Speaking of PWF's. I think we see Kellin Lain get a shot at the big leagues sooner rather than later.

They've only played 2 games and he's not on the sheet yet. 15 pims already tho..

Grenier has a G and a Ast.

Corrado a -2 and 3 shots on goal only. Zero points.

Check again in a week. Too early to claim anyone is ready yet unless injury forces it.

Ill be honest, I haven't seen him play yet. I assume we will see him because he's a big checking centre with higher than average faceoff ability. My assumption is based on the fact that Dalpe isn't fitting in on the 4th line, and that I see schredder playing a top 6 role on this team.

I like Archibald, would call him up and waive Sestito.

Played pretty mean last game. Also probably had the most scoring chances of the Comets forwards.

Also, Grenier had a Gordie Howe hattrick in the same game.

I've seen you post this before without actually posting your rationale behind it. Just curious of what it might be.

I have a hard time seeing a player with very low initial expectations being overrated. How can an undrafted grinder be overrated?

He's performed better than uncountable players who have been drafted.

If anything, I'd say the kid has been underrated for most of his hockey career, and subsequently has proven everybody wrong, regardless of whether he makes the NHL.

Initial thoughts when he was signed were that he would never be a good enough skater to play pro, and he's already turned into one of the better forwards on a pro team, albeit an offensively challenged one.

Grinder? is that what he is? If so, why hasnt he gotten a look on our shytty bottom six.

People think he has a decent scoring touch, I dont see that. Grinder he may be. But if he was as good as everyone thinks he is, He would have played some games in the big leagues.

I think you're fabricating all of this hype for Archibald. I have never seen a single person ever claim that he's got top6 NHL potential.

Just an intriguing package of size, physicality, and a bit of scoring touch around the net. Could make for a decent bottom 6er if he can continue to develop.

Again, he's a 22 year old undrafted grinder. He'll likely get his chance to play some games within the next few years.

He's always been a grinder at every level he's played, dating back to his OHL days. He's just one who has a bit of a knack for the net.

Look at the players in the Canucks bottom 6. They're all older and more established players than Archibald.

The only one he could potentially replace is Sestito, who is the Canucks "goon." A role Archie isn't suited to play.

Everyone? I think most have to be reminded he's in the system. There was more talk about him last year because at times he was doing everything we wanted to see out of Kassian on the Wolves during the lock out.

Agreed.

Big year for him to showcase what he's got. Not a lot of competition in the Comets top6.

Fair assesment. I honestly wouldnt mind seeing him up here, I just dont simply see the allure so many people are oggling over.
