yes, the right wing instantly becomes somewhat of a weakness, but i'd take that risk. perron, joensuu, and wilson can play right wing too. gordon will centre ward and one of joensuu or wilson.
- deks1

If we acquire Wilson, he should be going back to junior for one more year. He's not ready for the top-6 and playing on the 4th line wouldn't do him any good.

Well the Oilers don't get their 2nd goal on the 5-3 without a lousy call on JVR. So Both teams benefited from sh*tty calls from the ref. Just the Leafs had the lucky break won the game for them. Basically it was the team with the LAST lucky break that wins the game. Hey Oilers, can I offer a suggestion? Jose Theodore is sitting at home waiting for a call. He says he refuses to be a backup. Well with the way Duby is playing, Jose would have a chance at the #1 job in Oiler land. Do the Oil have anything to lose? Do it soon b4 u guys get too far behind & cannot catch up.

MacT PM'd me and informed that he will be trying this after the long weekend...

Yakupov + Marincin for Seth Jones

Will be randomly dialing GMs, offering our 2014 1st round draft pick, plus roster D-man (not named J. Schultz, Nurse, Petry, or Klefbom) for a goalie... What sort of interest will this package create? I'll let you know when MacT messages me again.

Good news so far outta OKC! Ryan Martindale and Martin Gernat are producing and Fedun, Pitlick, and Lander are all playing well! Klefbom isn't dominating the way some (stupid) people thought he would, but he certainly hasn't looked out of place, either. Haven't really caught much of Marincin, but he's still playing top-4 minutes.

Fleury may be available after this year. He can get you to the playoffs but you will probably need another goalie once you get there.

The only issue is do you take the risk of trading both Yak AND Hemsky and then be forced to try Gagner or Arco on the wing? We can't be certain how that'd work out.
- MaximumBone

Yeah, I actually want to keep Hemmer on the team simply because he worth more than his trade value, especially at a reasonable extension. But seriously if we were willing to part with this:
Yak, Klef, DD, 2014 1st, any of our AHL players ( save maybe 1 D prospect), could we not get:
1 of Miller, Hiller, Reimer or Lehner
1 of Hornqvist, Ward, Brouwer or Wheeler
1 of Carlson, Josi, Bogosian or McDonough
????????
( forgive my spelling ya Nazi)
?????

It seems to me we have some expendable assets.

That's a very contentious (and inconsistent) title you're granting the kid. I'd put a few others ahead of him as of right now, but none the less he's a good prospect. I like Oleksiak and he's what I'd be looking for, but I'd want a more proven return. Gogo isn't the type of Dman we need either.

A roster spot that could be used to sign a prospect or be useful in a trade? They only have one spot left, after all.

1 of EACH of those in the same deal? No, cause they're not on the same teams. In separate deals? Perhaps, although those aren't QUITE the guys I'd look at.

You don't hear about many trades for "future considerations" anymore either because of the salary cap or because GM's are less co side rate than in the good old days?) but now would be a good time to make a few of them to clear out some contracts.

Jeez us, for a smart kid your kinda thick sometimes. The first bit is the assets I would be willing to move , the second is the players ( or types of players rather) I would like to acquire . Do you think Mac T could get it done?
Who exactly are the types of ayers you would want and what would you be willing to part with?
