Oilers are going to live and die with Dubnyk this year. MacT doesn't have the assets to get a good goalie, we have no prospects in OKC, we can't afford to trade any of our decent players, so we're stuck with this bunch of crap on the ice for another season. The best we could do is trade this year's first (Top 5 pick for sure) to get Ryan Miller and try desperately to resign him. No other starting goalie is on the market. Dubnyk has screwed us all. Another year of looking up at the Flames and their rather successful rebuild.

Why not trade 1 of your 5 1st picks overall for some talent?

You ain't getting what you need for (frank) all - that's a guarantee

I guess the giddiness of draft parties has worn off...

It was for sure a penalty, but as mentioned before it was bad all game. It just looks worse because it led to the goal. Wouldn't be an issue if they could hold a lead in the dying minutes though. Or if Dubnyk could of made some saves he's supposed to make.

No penalty, good call - game over

Penalty for what??? Pushing him to the ice when he has the puck

Most Oiler fans would lose it, I would welcome it. There are to many people using the term "franchise player" with these guys.

Lets be honest here, the Edmonton Oilers are absolutely terrible defensively! If it wasn't for RNH, who's wow a fantastic young player, this game wouldn't have even been that close.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, too many players of the same ilk on the front end to go along with sub-par goaltending. But you all know that already.

To me, he punched him the back of the head. 2 for roughing.

Sens got called for one just like it last night.

Just my interpretation.

Brutal non calls. The oilers should have been in the box all night for sucking. If the Oilers play a solid 60, then you can female dog at the refs.

How do you figure he doesn't have the assets? You have a team full of them.

Trade Hall. That's what would be best....get a goalie + and have rnh/ebs be the leaders. Too many cooks in the kitchen now.

Leafs were missing there best defensive forward Kulimen, best defensive D Fraser and Clarkson who has yet to play. Had they been playing not a chance the Oilers would have scored 5 goals

I dont expect Leafs fans to be sorry for winning the game, but I dont know how you watch the replay and think "Yup, that is a completely acceptable play by NHL standards"

It was a blown call.

Flames have what 6?? goalies in the background and Eberle would look really good on a line with Monahan and Sven.

looks more like a one handed push between the shoulder blades with a possible leg over leg entanglement momentum trip

Agreed. Imo its either hall or yak....and right now you get a better return for hall. In the end yak is going to be amazing....but not 3rd line and press box duties to get there.
