haha not at our expense I haven't seen any games yet or any highlights but from the stats I'v seen Monahan has been impressive, Baertchi as well. Has B.B quieted down about Sven now?
- blizzzard

Ya he hasn't said boo about anyone since then....but Sven seems to be more involved this year than last. The Baertschi-Monohan-Stempniak line has looked awesome so far. Hopefully they keep it up!

Good luck tonight.........well, not really!!!

One thing is for sure you guys look to be a hell of a lot faster then us I haven't got a Devils game yet. Just got my internet back up so I don't want to comment to much on how anyone on NJ has played so far but I am excited to watch this one tonight. From the pre season Marty didn't look good but I don't know how he played in his two games so far this year other then he or the Devils have yet to win

I think it can only help Ramo make the transition, throwing him in there right away would be very hard for him and for the team. It will also let him know the #1 job isn't his (as the salaries might indicate), and should motivate him to play really well when he does get his shot.

I think the original plan was to get Ramo in there a little more often. But the bottom line is the team is playing great in front of Joey Mac so why mess up a good thing? I know his numbers aren't awesome but he is playing well!

- The-O-G

Totally agree, I wonder if maybe the game against Washington showed the staff done things they would like Ramo to work on as well before they throw him out there. The play of Joey Mac has played a factor as well. The thing with him is he will probably let a goal or two in that most starters wouldn't but if he continues to make the big saves at the right time that's really all you can ask for

This team rides momentum right now. Joey's making saves that buoy the entire team at crucial times. Ramo played fine by the numbers, but allowed Washington to score goals that robbed the Flames of that momentum. When Joey falters he'll get another chance, but until then I like that Hartley's going with the guy that has been keeping the team in the game.

The way people were talking about it I thought he made some obscene or tasteless comment. It wasn’t anywhere as bad as folks were making it out to be and it should have never left the change room. Whoever reported it likely lost the respect of those around the room at the time. Tsk tsk.
- Colin Dambrauskas

I don't blame the reporter at all... If Joe didn't want it out there, he shouldn't have said it. The reporter saw this as a big story (and he was right) so why shouldn't he report it. It got him publicity.

All that being said, good for Joe! I think this actually worked in his favor and made him even more well liked. I'm sick of numpties like Oates putting their grossly inflated egos above the fans and the game. The fans pay good money and invest a great deal of time into watching the sport... Why have a problem with exciting plays like that one? If the NHL wants to grow the game, they need to embrace plays like that... Not ridicule them. Oates... Get over yourself. Thornton... Well done!

For the game tonight, I predict that the Flames will score at least 1 goal on Cory Schneider.

6-2 Flames win.

Regarding Thornton, the story isn't what was said, it's that it was reported as a story in the first place. I think most people can agree that what he said was no worse than a lot of stuff said in dressing rooms after every game. The big debate seems to be whether or not that's fair game to repeat in the media. And of course the answer is, no, it's not. I'm glad it was though because that was hilarious.

Okay let's slow down a little...

Weird they're starting Marty after his last 2 games here.

Monahan gets 2 more points tonight.

I remember a particularly hilarious exchange between Avery and half the Vancouver bench caught on mic loud and clear on HNIC.

Flames don't play much in the next while...should give them time to heal up

This isn't a bottom feeding team, looks like the previous top guys were just lazy like some of us thought

you guys are certainly surprising the entire league. your youth is providing you with heart, passion, energy, and timely scoring.

young kids also tend to disappear for stretches of the season so the name of the game for you guys should be consistency.
