Nobody is doing fantastic in our division apart from the Isles and Pens. Nabby is prone to getting tired and MAF is prone to collapsing, so the entire division is literally up for grabs.

Yea Philly and the Rangers have looked horrible. I think the Rangers turn it around but I don't think Philly does. It's not that they don't have enough guys who can score but there is just no method to their madness and their D can't play a good defensive system even though they have some bigger names on their back end then us and their goaltending is shaky at best.

Im excited to see JJ and Larsson in. Kind of glad Lokti is sitting. Happy to see Henrique and Zajac split up, (at least for now), and happy to see Olesz on the 3rd line, he played decent last game, and had that one awesome set up to Bernier.

I am in the minority but I thought Olesz had a great pre season. I am excited as well this is the first game Ill get to watch and by the sounds of it, it can't hurt having JJ in as he brings speed. Something this team seems to be lacking. It should be interesting. Marty should have the advantage over Joey Mac but sometimes Marty is shaky. Also be interesting to see if we dominate in the face off dot tonight as Todd noted the Flames have been less then spectacular in that department.

The thing I am noticing about Henrique this year despite him having a slow start is he seems to be a lot more creative and seems to be able to dangle a little which is good. I noticed last year a lot of the times he was just in the right areas and we had the talent in Kovy to get him the puck and he would just put it in now that we don;t have as much talent it is nice to see that he is likely able to create chances for others and himself instead of being johnny on the spot relying on someone else.

Sal is one of our worst D in my mind so that doesn't surprise me.

Yup. Its good to see. I noticed it a bit last year but after he got back into game shape from his injury the team had basically stopped scoring so it didn't lead to much. Good to see him score tonight.

Yea that goal tonight was just hockey smarts going to the net after making the play the kid is smart and has the ability to be a 60 pt guy or higher. I can't believe we are still losing draws.

I thought it was a pretty solid period. Marty has looked good so far hopefully he keeps it up.
