That's how he always hits. He either dont know how to or targets knees and heads...I'm a nucks fan to the core but I can't defend it blindly...especially when it Re-occurs, I just wish he'd hit shoulder to shoulder, or shoulder to chest. I wouldn't have minded if there was no suspension but he was held accountable by someone on the sharks. IMHO I think players that never get beat up on questionable hits will never learn to respect their opponents.

I haven't done anything different than disagree with you Fosco. Which at least 2 of your fellow posters have also done. You started with the personal attacks.

Eddie was indisicive on what he was going to do. If he goes for the puck Hertl might get on a breakaway. If he backs off he gets beat. He has to hit. Hertl knew he was coming and kept his head low going for the puck. It is still a suspend-able play IMO but no intent to hurt him was there. Edler has to make that play but it wasn't square because he took to much time thinking about it. I know the game is quick but the thoughts and decisions happen fast. 2 or 3 games is fair.
P.S. Shanahan is still a Douche bag.

His head does lower. You can't see it in the gif because it's literally only the second leading up to the hit. It lowers on the initial stride where he's reaching for the puck. He also opens his body on the same reach.

That all happens within a split second, and Edler already has him lined up. There's not enough time to react.

You have no idea what Edler targeted...but the head was the principal point of contact. That's clear.

The Nash non-suspension was ridiculous.

It's pathetic that it's even being reviewed:
- Did NOT extend his elbow
- Did NOT jump off of the ice
- Did NOT even make direct contact with Hertl's head

If this is a suspension then I'm done even commenting or trying to comprehend what the hell this league is doing until some new people are in charge.

Look I have Hertl in my keeper pool.... I dont' want him injured.... but that is a hockey play where he should have expected contact. Edler's only crime is a lack of much of an attempt to play the puck combined with the fact that Hertl exposed his head by reaching and not making an attempt to brace for a hit. If you are comparing to Moore.... if Edler followed through with an elbow like Moore did, at that speed, I am not sure Hertl would play again ..... Edler is not a small man.

IMO its a hockey play and he didn't target the head it was low shouldn't be suspend-able so I do agree with you and nucker in that sense but under the new rules it is because it make contact with the head. I don't like it because its a play I make every time. I like all our former Sweds and Euros? So what aRE you saying?LOL
