5-3 Leafs tonight.

Kessel gets 2 goals and an apple, Reilly gets two assists

Can it with the Reimer hate. He's a good goalie, Bernier has been fantastic so far though, like elite level. There was nothing was wrong with not just handing Bernier the starting job, he had to win it, and he looks to have done so very quickly. Instead of female doging about how people had confidence in Reimer still, maybe you should be praising Bernier for his efforts. I'm happy with both of their play, it looks like we have a really good back and an elite goaltender for a grand total of what 5.5 mil? Sounds good to me

We just wouldn't be leaf fans if we did that.

Reimer wont be happy backing up Bernier...Trade him for D help or 9 draft picks......

Your blogger is right. Steve Bernier has been excellent in goal for the Leafs.

Meh,

doubt we're gonna get much of anything for Reimer alone.

Perhaps if we can insist any team getting Reimer has to take all of Liles' salary, then we'd maybe have something cooking, but remember we only paid a second and a disposable prospect for the likes of Bernier.

The transition from forward to goalie was tough but he made the right decision.

PDO
PDO is the sum of "On-Ice Shooting Percentage" and "On-Ice Save Percentage" while a player was on the ice. It regresses very heavily to the mean in the long-run: a team or player well above 1000 has generally played in good luck and should expect to drop going forward and vice-versa.

This is essentially how Rob Vollman came to the conclusion that the Leafs would finish 27th in the league and the Sens and Devils would finish first/second respectively....

The two teams have one thing in common......they live on loser points. Ottawa makes the playoffs on them and New Jersey stays respectable on them. That alone is a tell-tale sign that these teams play not to lose and don't play to win as much.

Ottawa already has two loser points and Jersey has 3! If there where no loser points, where would these panhandlers be?

Buffalo is going to resemble a KHL team, if they add any more Euro's. Maybe they could transition into a KHL franchise and save the rest of the NHL fans from having to watch this team. Take Jersey and Phoenix too!

If there's one thing Reimer has definitely proven, it's that he's perfectly happy in most any situation.

The guy is possibly the most humble athlete in pro sports, and Leafs Nation has just decided to collectively dump on him. What has he done to earn the hostility?

He gave us three solid years, setting the franchise save percentage record in the process, but once we bring in a guy who starts playing well, we can't just hand the reins over; we have to crush him.

We have one really good goalie in Reimer and one playing even better. I don't understand what grounds we have for any negativity right now.

A player can go from savior to goat in literally 20 minutes around here. Toronto is a mad house.

Not to mention that TO management is going to be awfully hestitant to commit to one or the other this early.

Raycroft won a Calder. Stranger things have happened.

Nothing excuses Toskala. This just eases the pain a little.

At least the shot was on net for Toskaka!

Quick's gaff was way worse.
