Hard enough to try and get things turned around. Certainly don't need injuries to pile up.

There's a reason 80 some year old men are typically retired, just saying.
- JoeRussomanno

I would never dare question his passion, but there is also a reason why the fans dont run the team.

Hextall is next in line, and the stars have aligned for a big sale with the draft in Philly.

Holmgren re-built this team the last time in a pretty similar way that Hextall may be able to do.

I hope so. But we have a ppg centre that still has 0 PTs. Is say what a mess. I do believe that by mid season if we continue as a last place club. Hextall needs to take over.
- Hextall271

5 games. No points for giroux, voracek, couturier, Simmonds.

Systems shmystems. This is outrageous. I was expecting more tonight

Definitely a big factor in the game. But honestly, more then anything, they lost and are losing because they aren't getting enough out of their top players.
- MJL

I hope that is Messy Meszaros last game as a Flyer. I have been saying it for a long time that the guy is poison. Also the way Kimmo is playing you may as well give Gusty a chance to play. The outcome could not be any worse. I used to always love flyer hockey but if this continues I am going to have to find another team. Losing every night is for losers and I can't take watching millionares who can not even make a simple pass. They made Greiss look like a superstar, no traffic, no chemistry on any line and simply just all screwed up. I am so upset you can not imagine. By the way Rinaldo is working his butt off more so than any other flyer but unfortunately he does not have it upstairs. Poor Vinny getting caught in this mess.

Ill never question his passion either but the decisions made by this front office are beyond stupid.

Meszaros is not the problem. Neither is Timonen. We need the Flyers top offensive players to play like it.

You mean that the media/insiders (even though 90% of them are morons), that dare to questions these decisions arent right?

That the outsider's point of view is sometimes a little bit more realistic?

I'm kind of in your boat, the state the things are in, with the decisions the last few years, they have turned into a joke, and have deserved that reputation.

We aren't scoring anyways... ugh.. I am really worrying that this might be an 06/07 type season complete with a lottery loss as well.. Cry.

Ugh all i'm seeing is the obamacare commercial over and over again. Annoys me to see tax dollars being spent to advertise a law.

Hi all,

First post on HockeyBuzz, just started reading it a few months ago, and I figured I'd throw in my two cents. Maybe being drunk and angry isn't the best way to make a first post, but let's see where it goes.

I'll start with the acknowledgement that this is the worst offense I've ever seen in my life and now move on to two specific players.

One, Simmonds. This dude has a complete inability to control the puck and because of one fluke year in 2011 we're being told he's a top 6 forward. He's a 3rd liner at best and he definitely needs to be taken off the PP.

Two, Coburn. I know it seems like an odd choice, but I've seen no intensity from this guy in 3 years. I would've definitely taken the 2nd round pick Edmonton offered.

Last, Jay Rosehill is my favorite player.

D not the problem this season.
Goalies not the problem this season.

Hartnell is good for 25 goals a season, voracek has grew into a poor man's jagr... Giroux has players around him, problem is the ice isn't as open when you're the number one guy and being said number one you have to dominate. Giroux has not shown to be able dominate in this situation consistently.
- JoeRussomanno

Agreed. I get crucified for ? G on hockeybuzz. Hartnell and checky good players but as I've stated before, when they get glorious chances (like voracek) tonight we HOPE they score. With elite wingers they DO score. Big difference. I think g has potential to be elite but not with this group unless said players have career type years. Which of course can NOT be counted on.

You know what, Rinaldo had a bad game. Some bad undisciplined penalties. And a bad turnover that led to a goal. But how long has it been since it could be said that he had a bad game? I'd kind of look in another direction. How about someone like Giroux, Voracek, or Simmonds make a play and score a goal?
- MJL

Good point, the guys you mentioned and not one dman deserves to be in the starting lineup, they all stink. Gusty has to draw in tomorrow and Meszaros should be just plain and simple sent home to never come back. Voracek looks odd to me as well, there is no fire in him at all. How can this happen to star players like 93 and 28 in one off season. Hartnell should be traded if we can something decent, a shakeup is in order, a very large shake up.

The injuries might actually be a good thing for the Flyers. Forces the coaching staff to call some players up. Some AHL'er coming up trying to prove something is could fire this crap offense up.

Timonen, Rinaldo and Giroux refuse to be interviewed. Two of them in leadership group

I don't know if I have read about Timonen refusing to talk.

Really not impressed with him at 5+ mil a season. I hated Carle, but i'd rather him at 5 mil.

Ok... medicine has kicked in. I'm just going to enjoy this season for what it is. A giant pile of dried up, white flakey dog pooh.
