Defensive guys who can't move, are constantly hemmed in their own zone, and can't clear the puck out are liabilities.

I also understand that there's a large faction of fans who are willing to overlook these things, though, because these players are trying really hard.

I can't go to any party where only Bud Light is served. Bud products give me a headache while I'm drinking.

I prefer to acquire my headaches the next morning when I wake up.

Can't watch it at work, but I'll take your word on it. Like I said, I don't remember it, but I wasn't keeping track in my head, so I believe you.

On the list of plays the turnover by Grossmann is credited as a Takeaway by Versteeg at 0:56, and then at the very end of the play you see the Giveaway by Coburn from 1:03.

So I guess it's a turnover has to be either a giveaway or a takeaway, it can't be both.

All you need to know about how this team is at the 0:18 mark... a bunch of guys milling around near the crease, getting in each others way, not sure who to take... puck squirts out into the high slot, Kimmo points at it with his stick to spur Simmonds into position... Simmonds ignores him, and as the Panther winds up for his slapper, Kimmo says what the heck, and just skates out to challenge the shot himself, leaving Simmonds to defend the crease alone.

Tonight we should start to see what the difference between the chief and lava is. I know it will take time, but his style should start to show. What I like is I have hope for the Flyers again. After the terrible preseason I really had no hope for this team, but it's up from here. Two things I'm looking forward to:

1. The Flyers making the playoffs and all the haters sucking it.
2. Both goalies having a great season, again so all the people hating can suck it.

- LJF

Poopy people can just suck it.

I don't think anybody on this team is going to look good defensively until they get on the same chapter, not to even mention the same page.

That does hold everyone back. Nanny money or not, you don't hire a nanny so you don't have to "bother" with your kid. You want to spend time with your kid, and be there so support your wife who has to get up every 2 hours to breast feed.

It's not even that you need a team of Patrice Bergeron's and Pavel Datsyuk's. Just players who are able to play competent defense. Any NHL player should be able to do that. Then, after you play defense, get the puck, and use short gaps to create a transition game, use your offensive skills to score.

Pump and freeze, get the nanny to wake up and feed. Of course one needs to be there for their child, but there's got to be balance too.

Are we really talking about breast feeding and parental responsibilities?

All I'm saying is that, if my wife is going to be breast feeding (some women prepare to do that over pumping and freezing when possible), and she's waking up every 2 hours (which wakes BOTH up every 2 hours), I'm not gonna tell her peace and go sleep downstairs. Also, if you have the nanny do everything that's an inconvenience, why even have kids?
