The nice thing about Zatkoff playing against the Panthers (other than they may provide one of his more advantageous matchups) is that it will give the Penguins a real reason to play. Those guys aren't going to want to let the guy down in his first ever start.
Even when I played at the high school or college level when a guy was playing his first ever game as a goalie you found an extra gear to get him the 'W'. I can't imagine its much different at the pro level. - Ryan_Wilson

Great point Gunner. I've been in both those spots myself and it's especially nice of your team to make the extra little plays in your end to make sure you have an easy night. Nothing like seeing a grin through your goalies mask when the final horn sounds. |

Disgusting. I don't understand how a parent could not seek help and protection in a better way...especially considering AP's possible resources. I don't know everything about the situation but I would kill him myself if I had to protect my child. |

Bad play by Crosby. He'll get it back.
Bennett had a nice little play on that draw. |

Yeah I was just telling my buddy that. Rare mistake on the exit. Great shot though.
Terrific pass by Beau there. Head up. Never gave Geno the time of day. |

Yes he does. Of course both defenseman working on the wrong side of the net didn't help |

Team looks pretty lethargic all over the ice so far. It looked like we were killing a penalty on that 4 on 4. And we had Crosby then Malkin on the ice. |

It looks like we have a lot of pedestrians who believe that the Penguins should win on skill merit alone. Not a lot of gumption in what I have watched. |

I guess Gilbert thought he was playing football.
Then they put the puck in the net when Zatkoff skated off.

@MolinariPG: So thoughtful of Mario Lemieux to lend Craig Adams his hands for the early days of this season.
