Door is open for a Letang return as he skated with team today.

Think Bortuzzo sits until game 9?

I am really interested to see how they handle this.

I'm just hoping the Pens won't look past this game to the lightning and some how screw this up , it is a relatively easy two points , they are on the second night of a back to back and let's be honest it's Florida, Pens need to buckle down and put the boots to em !!

Tuzzo>Nisky with Letang in the lineup.

Side note- got into a pretty serious Twitter war with Joe Vitale during the Bucco's Cards game 5, so needless to say my views on him will be very bias; and mostly nonsensical.

Cooke decided since he went to Minnesota that he can now be the point producer and playmaker he was born to be. He just wanted to stay humble and never overshadow Crosby or Malkin...

Ive been saying that for years.

If this is a true "try out" for Maatta sticking around, I'd like to see him rotated through some other partners. If he's going to stick around and basically replace a versatile guy like Niskanen, he's gotta be able to replace him in all roles.

I would keep him in the bottom pairing when Letang gets back for 1 game just because I want to see our true top 4 in action, but yes I fully agree with your premise.

I know this sounds crazy but i would pair him with Letang. I think they would work well together.

I wouldn't mind seeing that short term but Scuderi wasn't brought in for bottom pairing minutes.

No i just mean over the next few games. I highly doubt Maatta stays. And it's not because he can't play with the big boys.

There was a little something I read that I'm about to add to the blog that is pretty interesting on that front. Give me 5 minutes.

I really like the make up of that Colorado team. They're going to be the powerhouse everyone expected the Oilers to become.

Also, if anyone lives in Detroit, hates Verlander and doesn't mind the possibilty of jail time pm me.

I like Colorado as well. Trouble is, they have been injury plagued up till this year. Great team.

Why would London get another player if Maata was returning? I am intrigued at the prospect of him staying.

They are so thin at D, plus I'm always injured.

On paper but it seems the system Roy is playing works for them. I think they've only allowed 3 or 4 goals on the season. Granted they won't keep that pace up but the forwards are doing a great job of helping and the D isn't asked to do too much early in the season.

But mostly I think Doosh, Mac and Landy are great building blocks to have.

Theyve also allowed a butt load of shots, especially last night. Right now they are banking on their goalies to handle this heavy load, and most of the time it doesnt work. However, if they do good this year, they may grab some interest of some solid D free agents

No, you certainly aren't. Ek is supposedly chasing down this huge rumor of a pissed off star. Sounds like Lundqvist.

I would also like to see the Flyers have similar fate.

It's probably Crosby. He's had enough of Dupuis.
