It's not how you start. It's how you finish. This season isn't even 2 weeks old. It's why I refuse to get worked up about the Sabres right now. It will probably end up being a trend, because, you know, this is Buffalo, where failure is the norm, but until it actually plays out, I'm not going to worry about it.

Couple things: 1) Miller seems to have learned how to talk to the Media.

2) I get the frustration but would prefer the fans don't (and I don't) boo the team, young as it is. Don't need that getting into their heads.

NF.. I think the fans should just stay home and let the Sabres play in front of an empty arena. It would send a very loud message to Pegula!!!!!

Edit: By the way, If the booing effects young players that much then they better get out of the business...... Players need to be more mentally tough than that...

I think negativity begets negativity. I would hate for a losing culture to set in with these guys. And while booing is just a small part of that, it is a part of it.

He sure has Ray. It starts at the top and he has to recognize that keeping Regier was a major blunder. And then Regier sells us on the idea that he didn't need to look at any other coaches because Rolston was the perfect fit. He was perfect all right. The perfect yes man. Hell, Patrick Roy was available. I said this yesterday but we need to fire Regier and Rolston and I would bring in Dudley and Laviolette. When Rolston had the frightened turtle look on his face the other night when Vanek got that penalty and showed no emotion behind the bench, that said it all for me.

Well NF... It has been 5 or 6 years now that fans have put up with players drifting around on the ice, no effort, no emotion, no intensity and then listening to excuses up the arse from the players. I do not blame anyone for booing and if the players, young or old, want it to stop then they can get their arses in gear and frigging compete for once. I personally cannot even stand watching these guys for more than 2 minutes. They sicken me with their ineptitude and lack of effort....
