Going ok Cabby!

Just wish better for Sabres fans, this city just lives and dies with their teams. Terry should have a presser right after this mess and bring in a real hockey man!

You know what...maybe the message is to waive Stafford - willing to forefit the best case low round pick in a few months....
- JustOneCupPlease

Hamilton said they should. I generally don't like what he has to say most of the time (such as McBain being in Rochester for the year), but I think he's right about it.

Hodgson needs to work on his passing. He's just throwing the puck around out there. Weber needs to remember that he's not playing goalie, he's playing defense and needs to stay out of the goalie's way.

If "money is no object" i'm all for it. Pay that clown $4M to play in the AHL.
One thing that really bugs me about this past summer is that there were dudes out there just looking for a chance....actually, very similar to what happened to Brad Boyes. We could have signed a few to a 1 year contract to prove themselves and we probably would have gotten better leadership that we're getting from Stafford. This team won't be right until every single member of the Ruff-era Sabres are gone. There's just a "lazyness gene" still lingering with this team.

the team as whole needs to fix their passing game . other than the Van goal. (was a gift) nothing creative from the players.

I'm just glad that guys like Girgensons aren't susceptible to catching the laziness gene. I don't think he understands what the word "lazy" even means.

I am glad you mentioned that about hodgson. He had at least half a dozen passes in the offensive zone that weren't even close. I don't know what's going on with him because he wasn't that bad of a passer last year.

I love Steve Ott - but I think part of Hodgsons problem is that he can only look for Vanek - so you end up just throwing it in his direction at all times

Ott works his ass off - is a pro's-pro - but not a 1st line player - but I get it...what other options do we have?

He seems to just be throwing it wherever. It's awful. I mention him because he's our 1st line center and it's imperative that he straightens it out.

There's a difference between trying to get it to Vanek and throwing it nowhere near the vicinity he's in.

Maybe I am just having difficulty trying to figure out or justify how bad we are top to bottom...

There is going to come a point soon where we will need to talk about the few bright spots just to keep sanity

Good point Wings without them 2 I agree. Until some one steps up to fill that void .we will be nothing but a game a team can get 2pts against.

Nah - if anything, you are going to overpay him to stay - you need professional veteran leaders that can teach the very young players that are going to be around here for the forseeable future...

Yeah it sucks to be a Sabres fan. but life goes on. Will always be a fan and hope for the cup. You guys had somewhat of the same situation we have. Just have a mindset that the game isn't a must watch at the moment.

tt isn't talented enough to be a teacher . He wil help.
Vanek isn't mental enough to be a teacher either. So we have to rely on the coaches .Not too sure on their resume.

tanking for one player is a stupid idea since at best you have a 25% chance of getting him.

I'll bet anything he goes to a team with a big market that NBC features a lot.

Should bet tanking for the number, not the player. If you draft top 5 enough times you'll accumulate the talent you need. It helps that our future D looks good too.

Ummm....the Sabres actually fit into that description. We're one of the teams most heavily televised in NBC. We've already had 2 NBC sports games and there's another one on Monday.
