Should I wear my getzlaf or Selanne jersey today?
- mighty13duck

I'll have my Rangers third jersey. Hopefully I'll be getting my Ryan McDonagh jersey soon.

the team showed in LA it is more than capable of taking 10 or more points from this starting road trip. a lot of it obviously depends on the health of nash now, but assuming he plays, i think 10 is very attainable if the team brings their A game from here on out consistently.
- rangerdanger94

Oh I really think the team is capable of attaining the 10pt mark if they play consistently. All thing's considered tho, I expect 7-8 pts based on the length of the road trip ezpecially the travel on the west coast.

They win tonight and somehow get at least a point Saturday; they can certainly get ten points on this road trip. Play the Caps, Devils and Flyers...all winnable games.

Looks like Fast will be in the lineup tonight and a likely Miller or Kreider call up is waiting in the wings.

Nash is never going to play a full season for the rest of his career.

I'll take 3 out of 4 points over the next 2 games. Gotta get a win though.

Ducks are not as good defensively and in goal as the Sharks are.

Tonight is a game the Rangers can get if they pay attention to details. Having Nash out sucks but they have to somehow overcome that.

Quick question to stir the pot: if he plays, say 40 games this year and Richards has a great season, who gets bought out here?

Not saying this will happen, so everyone relax, just a hypothetical question here.

I was preparing for your hypothetical before you proposed it.

Amnesty buyout next summer on Nash.

Regular buyout say summer of 2016 on Richards:

Brad Richards buyout from CapGeek.com
2016-17: $500,000
2017-18: $6,500,000
2018-19: $6,500,000
2019-20: $6,500,000
2020-21: $833,333
2021-22: $833,333
2022-23: $833,333
2023-24: $833,333

A regular buyout of Richards no matter when it is is pretty suicidal, while a regular buyout of Nash isn't bad.

Richards either way, no cap hit going further

When are we going to catch a break, we've had to endure too many careers ended by concussion here, Lindros had his issues, Lafontaine, Richter, Sauer and now Nash has his second in the last 9 months, this organization is cursed

Lindros and LaFontaine had their issues before they got here, Nash as well.

Sauer had concussion issues in juniors and Richter, well, that was just a shame what happened to him.

the biggest thing is that Richards is signed until 2020, six more years after this year.

It's just easier to deal with 4 more years of never knowing if Rick Nash is going to be healthy than the thought of Brad Richards still on the payroll at 40 years old.

He didn't leave his feet Shanny was careful not to say he did. I believe he said he elevated his shoulder.
If this was Nash on a 3rd line scrub there would be no suspension, I defiantly think the league doesn't want stars suspended!
the Nash on Tomas Kopecky hit was an so incredibly more violent and target to the head that the NHL has no credibility in player safety.

- ky678468

3 games is excessive. Brown only got two for a blatent elbow to the face of Pominville last season. Stuarts hit didn't seem malicious or egregious in any way.
Shanahan needs to go.

If they're going to buy out anyone it will be Richards. If he has an awesome season, they win the cup or close to it and there is a big cap raise as rumored I think it will be a more difficult decision than people think. More than likely he will be bought out but I think Richards could make it interesting for Sather come decision time.
