On the right side, thus far, is Hansen, Burrows, Kassian and Santorelli. Kassian needs to be given an opportunity IMO. Not two games like AV would provide either, a full 20+ games to settle in.
- LeftCoaster

Honestly, 20 games if he isnt providing is suicide for the team. I don't think this team can afford to develop Kassian that way if he struggles... This team has 1 offensive line that needs to be going at its full potential all season long. Its nice to see him get a couple goals there but not at the expense of the production we need from the Sedins. If this team was rebuilding right now and not expected to do anything but work on the future, I'd say plop him there for as long as it takes.

Here's where I see the holes.

Dany Hank Hansen
??? Kesler Kassian
Booth Richardson Santorelli
Sestito Dalpe Weise

Currently I like Booth's game more than I like Higgins, but, I still don't see David Booth as a good second line option on the left side! Which begs the question, is Chris Higgins a top six LW'er?

Burrows?

I don't recall anyone saying that either. I know that I said that he isn't a 2nd line center. As far as I'm concerned, he's got the skillset to be an elite top 6 RW or a checking line center... and I think my post this morning backs up that opinion. In his current role, he doesn't produce @ ES & he definitely doesn't make his linemates better. That is not a top 6 centerman IMO.
- DrChristianTroy

There are at least two on here who have said it within the last week to 10 days.

While I agree with you that he would be a better winger than a centre, he is still most definitely, or at least was, a very good 2nd line centre.

Hell, he'd be the best centre on a handful of teams.

Oh I'm not saying he doesn't get a chance to prove it, but he has earned as much as Booth, so if we're writing off Booth as a second liner I'm not sure how Kassian gets a free pass...
- 1970vintage

It's more about their personal skill-set than anything else. Injuries aside, I think Kassian is the better more naturally talented player. He just much younger and has yet to prove it.

Was the Keslord name not coined before that series even happened?

Kassian is really young, I'd prefer him on a line with Kesler because he's proven to be able to pass the puck. Rotating him between the second and third lines would be best for him and the team IMO.

Please dont tell me you think I did because of what Bieksa#3 said.

I dont even think I've been involved in a Kes 3rd line C convo in over a year or so and that was not what was said at all.

Burrows?
- A_SteamingLombardi

I left him out because he's currently injured, but he's the most logical for the 2nd line left wing.

It was the playoffs that I first heard it and I doubt it was any of his other playoff performances I heard it in. Could have been floating around before but I dont remember it...

I'm fairly certain "beast mode" came from that series.

I can remember Keslord being used before that 11/12 regular season even.

I'm honestly a little surprised how many people forget how dominant a player he was for a few seasons there. It's not like he just played one good series or one good season.

Keslord/ Beast Mode those trophies and awards would look nice right beside all the Stanley Cups he has won.

I don't know what you're talking about.

And I wasn't referring to you as anybody who called him a 3rd liner.

I just don't remember anyone "rubbing [anything] in". But I also added that I could have missed it.

I do remember a few people debating about whether he was a 2nd liner, so I thought that might have been what you're referring to.

Nothing more. Nothing less.

I till find it funny that some people seemingly act like he's fallen off of a cliff or something. Through 4 games this season he's been solid overall, the production will follow suit. 40 goals ain't happening again, I don;t think 30 will either. Around 25 goals, 30 assists for 55 points is what I expect, give or take a few in each category.

Hmm, I'll have to look back to where I said that they are trophies...

All I said is that people were calling him that before that series.

Not sure why I'm getting attacked here. I haven't once called him either nickname, and I'm not even a fan.

Just giving credit to a guy who was once a great player, despite his current struggles.

Not saying he is not a good player , but I have heard the name wienerhead, selfish , bad teammate ,puckhog heard more than Keslord or BeastMode.

His name is mentioned in close to 25 % of trade proposals.

He really hasn't done a lot in the last two years ,injured or not.

To me he is just a good player that doesn't amp up his game as a leader often enough.

Most of that coming from fans who have time to kill on various message boards and need something to talk about. Patrick Kane is a Richard off of the ice, I'd still take him on my team anyday.

Him being injury-prone and missing games during the season is exaggerated, people act like he misses a huge chuck of games every other season. He's not going to be a first line player, but he's solid as a second liner.

I think the word left out makes it a different suggestion altogether but Im pretty certain the ongoing debate as been wing or center... on the same line.

Then only one who has mentioned him as a 3rd liner is Bieksa#3 twice in the last few days. Immediately people started chirping about not believing people think he's a 3rd liner.... he's just trolling in absence of Ian. I would love to see a more offensive center there with Kesler on the wing but that doesnt exist on the roster so it is what it is until Horvat is ready to step in one day and be that player.

That's fine, but to suggest he isn't a good player because he ddoesnt have a Stanley cup is beyond foolish

Ray Bourque would have been a bum if not traded to the A vs in his final season. Now he is a Hall of Famer?

Apples and oranges. When Kesler wins a ConnSymthe and scores the Cup winning goal we can revisit the arguement.

Again right now Kesler is just a good player, not a beast.
