That was a small sample of the entire series. Kesler was amazing that entire series. Weber, Suter and Trotz admitted they couldn't stop him. But I agree the keslord thing is overhyped
- Bieksa#3

Yeah, he was the best player in that series, even outside of that goal from what I can remember.

The funny thing about this is that through 4 games this year, he still has a 54% puck possession rate despite starting just 35.7% of his shifts in the offensive zone. Again, his on-ice shooting percentage is way too low at 6.25% and his shooting percentage against is just .815%, clearly that's a sign of bad luck early and the result of such a small sample size, making him look worse than he actually has been. Just like the Kesler fans are getting accused of getting too excited when he has a bad game, I say the exact same to the one's who have a negative perception/opinion of him or his style of play.

Honestly, I don't recall anybody "rubbing any noses." Could have missed them, I guess.

I recall a few having issues with people saying Kesler isn't a 2nd liner.

It's really not surprising that Kesler isn't back in "Keslord" form, considering his and the team's situations.

- Fosco

Well you recall wrong and there were names mentioned even. I also dont remember anyone saying Kesler isnt a 2nd liner. He's not a great 2nd line center that's for sure. His best offense seems to be on Sundin's wing or the Sedins wing... I know I made a comment a year or two ago that Kesler would be the best 3rd line center in the league hands down.... and you know how certain individuals like to turn stuff like that around.... right?

Booner said Kesler is a 3rd line center.
- Bieksa#3

Liar. You have been at this game for a week. Give it up. You are the one I speak of so thank you for bringing it up without me having to mention names.

Just swinging by to say hi. I see not much is different around here, and I'm relieved Fosco is still alive and looks to be doing well.

Anyways, talk to ya'll later.

PS- I guess it really was me that brought on the trolls, because there doesn't seem to be anything but Nucks fans in here.

Here's where I see the holes.

Dany Hank Hansen
??? Kesler Kassian
Booth Richardson Santorelli
Sestito Dalpe Weise

Currently I like Booth's game more than I like Higgins, but, I still don't see David Booth as a good second line option on the left side! Which begs the question, is Chris Higgins a top six LW'er?

Hey good to hear from you Ian. Blog is very generic now and not as lively for sure. Some copy and pasting going on as well.

Also, I'm not convinced that Kassian is a top 6 forward either, or Kesler in the middle

Hey Ian, good to see you around. Timing of your time blogging didnt help thats for sure. No GT trade pending is a huge part of the lack of trolls along with the fact that Lu looks to be solid this fall with no one demanding the back up take over the crease. The removal of the couple of other bloggers keeping things lively can be credited as well. I only hold you 33% to blame.

On the right side, thus far, is Hansen, Burrows, Kassian and Santorelli. Kassian needs to be given an opportunity IMO. Not two games like AV would provide either, a full 20+ games to settle in.

I'd like to see what this second line would like for a game or two:

Booth Kesler Santorelli

Oh I'm not saying he doesn't get a chance to prove it, but he has earned as much as Booth, so if we're writing off Booth as a second liner I'm not sure how Kassian gets a free pass...

Booth on the 4th line? Breaking news to me. He's 5th in 5v5 ice time among forwards. Not too mention that he looks better than last year so far.
- Nucker101

He played some shifts with Sestito and Weise last night , that is 4 th line unless Kesler got demoted and that was our new second line?

Trolls are attracted to poop. Sometimes you wrote poop, hence the trolls. If you wrote honey, all you would get are bees. Wait, are bees attracted to honey, that doesn't make any sense.

This may be hyperbole, but I think the whole "Keslord" thing is a myth propagated on one good shift, not even one good series. The goal he scored against Nashville going between Weber and Suter has turned him into something he can never live up to IMO.
- 1970vintage

Was the Keslord name not coined before that series even happened?
