I don't think Moulson believes he should get more than JT. 5 million tops. I doubt Moulson walks away from that offer. He needs this team as much as Isles need him, plus he doesn't want to leave now when the Isles are finally good.

What makes you think they are going to move on from him? They didnt give him an "A" for nothing. I think Snow is going to look to sign him longer term when his contract is up.
Giving him the A made me scratch my head to be honest...would have preferred it they gave it to Neilsen or Bailey. Even Clutterbuck.

This is ofcourse assuming that JT is at all bothered by having another guy making more. JT is an extremely rare bread in sports today. He goes beyond the expected dedication of most pro players in order to be better. I think that same drive would ultimately make him accept getting in a higher priced, but lesser talented, player if it means making the team better. We're so damn lucky to have him. It's not just about his talent, but that he has as much integrity as any player I've seen in years.

I do not think they will move on from him. I would not mind if they did. I know the Isles really seem to like him. They do need to make room for better players though.

AMAC is not a first pairing dman, not even close to one on an even mediocre team. Anyone who thinks he is either knows jack shat about hockey or NEVER watches other teams play and doesn't have a clue what an even average Dman is supposed too look like.

Even the most 'pro' of MacDonald supporters aren't going to call him a 'very good defenseman' and then feel the urge to repeat it in caps. You might be one of those folks I'm referring to who has become so accustomed to mediocrity that guys like A-Mac suddenly seem above average. Amac is what he is. He's a bottom pairing dman thrust in a top 4 pairing role. If you think he's truly a top 4 guy, I'd suggest there may be a leather couch waiting for you somewhere.

You read here first...AMAC gets a 4 year deal at $2.5-$3.0 million deal and Moulson gets a 4 year deal at $4.5- $5 million deal...if they don't sign before the trade deadline one of them gets traded...

Cpt, I enjoy your posts...but I don't see AMAC being traded unless he is asking for the moon. While I agree he isn't a 1st pairing defenseman, I think AMAC and Hamonic are a good pairing. I would think the 1st pair defensemen soon will be Reinhart and Puloch (sp)...
