Not a fan of Pierre on a broadcast either. He is however a great interview and has great passion for the game. But he talks to damn much and gushes about everyone on games

what's the deal with kabanov? i remember reading during the preseason on here guys were saying this kid might be your best prospect and turn out better than strome.

He has had a lot of baggage with behavior issues. Nothing crazy terrible but just immature, drinking from what I remember hearing. He's had 4 or so agents already. Ego probably needs to be knocked down five pegs.

He apparently was late to a team meeting the other day reported by the sound tigers beat writer. The isles beat writer said it was so he could get more ice time.

EDIT : he was sent to the ECHL yesterday.

Maybe it had to do with both. In any case, it's very hard to crack this lineup if you're a forward right now, so much so that their big free agent pick up Pierre Marc Bouchard will probably be a healthy scratch Friday so kabanov should get as much ice time as possible anywhere cause he isn't making this squad this year

The one thing I always liked about Pierre is that when he used to work in Canada, he would bash the he11 out of Milbury, every chance he got. The day we drafted Nilsson over Parise (I was actually in Nashville), someone told me he had an absolute sh*t fit on the TV about what an idiot Milbury was. I've always respected him for that- he was the one guy who knew EXACTLY what was wrong with our franchise, and had the ba11s to say it. He's a bit overbearing on TV sometimes, but he calls it like he sees it, and I'm good with that. Milbury is the same on TV, ironically, but WE all know he's an idiot, so he has no credibility.

This is one thing I have been saying- we have far too many forwards at all levels, and far too few defensemen at the major league level. You'd think Garth could work SOMETHING out....just saying...

Not that the forwards are a bad thing....it's nice to have four lines that can roll the level of skill they displayed the other night....it's just that I think we could part with one of them to get a quality defenseman, and not really lose out on the deal.

Think Alexei Kovalev.....$10M talent with a 50 cent head...he b*tched for first line ice time he hadn't earned, so they apparently called his bluff and sent him to the ECHL to be king of the stupid. In that league, that kid had better score 150 points, or he's in trouble. That said, all of our kids, including Strome, also need to learn how to play defense at the major league level. They can all play hockey- but in the NHL, so can the guys on the other bench. You have to keep the puck out of your own net, too.....the Erie Otters aren't on the schedule....

One of the more knowledgable announcers in the game today. Guy was awesome. He violated some kind of rule with Charlie Wang when he said something that could be misconstrued as negative about the Islanders. In other words crazy Charlie fired him for nothing.

Yeah...that always annoyed me....Charles needs to understand that most fans don't want the Flyers or Bruins announcers. I'd rather have someone call the crap I'm seeing out for what it is....that's why I always liked Howie, because he's NOT a fan of our team. There's nothing I hate more than a Michael Kay describing the Yankee uniforms like they're giving him a woody....I want to hear the truth when I listen to a broadcast- otherwise, I'd rather just hear the crowd.

Honestly I don't need someone to tell me what's going on but it is nice to hear someone who has an idea what they're talking about. To me Jaffe is one of the best if not best commentator this team has had. I was raving pissed when he was let go. Guy was great.
You listen to someone like Michiletti and it makes you appreciate a guy like Jaffe. I can't believe Michiletti ever played the game? He is that stupid when it comes to the sport of hockey. Resch and Michiletti are the two worst in the area with Goring a strong third. For some reason Rosen doesn't bother me?
