Grabs more important to this team's success than Cappy.

I think that's a pretty good description albeit a small "notch". Now that you mention it Vis might look good next to AMAC? I'd still spread those minutes out a little more evenly but that might be a good pairing? He's more defensively sound(I may hear it for this but I've been pleasently surprised with Vis's defensive prowess), more offensively sound. He's certainly more of a "first pairing" dman as they're usually described then AMAC.

Cpt, I for the most part I usually agree with the opinions you put out there...although a few seasons ago they were so overly negative I wanted to throw up lol. But anyway, you seem to know much about the game of hockey outside just looking at simple numbers and stats. But I have to disagree with you on u comparing Amac with chef Bruno. I am not the biggest Amac supporter to say the least. I believe he is a 5-7 guy with decent skill that is being asked to do way too much I.e. playing top line minutes against the oppositions better forwards. To only say Amac is only a small notch ahead of Bruno if a bit of an over statement. Bruno was a horrible -60 or whatever the number was, going against the leagues bottom 6 forwards. Bruno, sorry to say it, is flat out awful and should be stuck in the ahl. I personally think that is his ceiling. I think Amac is worlds ahead of Bruno. I know he is only a 5-7 damn like I said earlier, but to say he is only a tiny bit better is crazy. For the position this team has put Amac in, he's done a decent job for being asked to do wayyyy to much. He's no where close to perfect, but I believe once he is properly utilized, he can be a serviceable dman. I'd take him as a bottom 3 dman any day of the week over Bruno.

I get ur position and I guess you dont like the decision either but to play into it... Lets say at work your up for a promotion. You do this great report and are always busting ur ass... but there is this guy at work who been there a little longer (or just older with more experience) but he is late once in a while or just doesnt put forth the same effort or level of work. Then he gets the promotion. Youd be pissed, right? I bet ur work would suffer and youd get that feeling of why should I kill myself if Im not gonna get rewarded? Well if Nelson is out preforming PMB and still doesnt get rewarded...

Hopefully that doesnt happen but its not like Nelson is a monument here... he is young and can skate. Maybe not as fast as PMB but he can still skate and play. Plus wouldnt you want one of the future core members playing against a team that just won the cup? I would.

And practice is practice... Unless Nelson forgot how to skate, practice shouldnt decide if a guy should be benched when he has hands down outplayed the other guy in live game action.

But like some other have said, this has Wang/Snow written all over it...
Not wanting a FA acquisition ($2m) sitting up in the suite.

Just my opinion... you work hard and outplay someone, you should be rewarded.

I have to agree with you here. I hate to see Nelson sit, he's def played a ton better and deserves to play, but on the other hand, we are only 3 games in. Pmb, thus far, has been pretty disappointing to say the least. But we have to look at it from all angles. PMB has been off to a slow start, however, he is a proven NHL talent. Injury aside, he has had successful seasons, I believe one of them was around 65 points. He is also coming from a western conference team, and may know the opposition a bit more. Not to mention, may have some chemistry coming from the same team as clutterbuck. I agree with your opinion, but at the same time this isn't a drastic decision. In the grand scheme of things, you can argue both sides of the decision, and I don't think this is going to have that big of an impact.

I also wanted to bring this up...this might sound a bit over the top...but could there be a small possibility that perhaps PMB was going to sit, and maybe Nelson is feeling a bit under the weather, or not 100%, hence why pmb gets the spot? Maybe it's just a small locker room thing that wasn't reported to the media...(this is a question for everyone, not just bags)

SJ announcers speculated perhaps Biron was injured/not 100% last night, hence keeping Lundqvist in for entire 6-0 shelling... we'll never know but I guess anything's possible.
