Didn't they trade for Thomas? Just pretty sure there would be something in the CBA that says you can't trade for a player, then buy him out. Teams trade for cap and contract purposes all the time.

The only people excited about Kadri are Leafs fans. Everyone else is wondering how a guy who wasnt shooting anything close to 16% in the AHL is going to keep up those numbers in the NHL. That and figuring out how to fit an 8 million dollar player into the Oilers lineup is a bit of an issue/
