Niskanen has looked really good in the first 3 games playing top 4 minutes with Letang out. We could always do a 2nd next year. He just doesn't have a place Letang when returns because of Maatta.

Well you are ok tonight as they play tomorrow night. They have more than one TV don't they? I (frank)ing hate that when a pub has 10 plus tv's and show the same game on all of them. You won't have that problem on Saturday though.

I don't get you guys at all, Why the hell do you want to trade Yak for Leaf garbage or prospects that aren't truly proven in the NHL.
If Eakins is smart he'll switch yak and hemsky from time to time to play on the 2nd and 3rd lines.
Once Gagner comes back Arcobello is gone back to the AHL where he belongs until he can figure out how to score on one timers and gifts from god.

The Defense has been a bit brutal so far but then again so has the forward group in the amount of giveaways that they have given other teams. Belov is still figuring out how to play against NHL players and he did pretty good against AHL competition in pre-season. N Shultz I believe will be traded midway through the season or at the trade deadline. J Shultz is still learning. Ferrence is terrific and Petry is playing well. Smid not so much but its only 3 games in and he'll pickup.

I listened to Strudwick's show last night and he had someone on there that was saying Dubnyk is still adjusting to both having a shorter stick and smaller pads, but to compensate for the pads being smaller he's wearing some extra layer underneath the pads to protect himself better. I honestly don't blame his shortcomings on his play but on the play of the team as a whole.

Remember fellow Oiler fans, its only 3 games into the season. And besides the options that are available suck.

Trading yak after only a lockout shortened season of play is ludicrous. That guy has so much raw talent, and is getting limited playing time, and poopty line mates. Watching that kid's speed, agility,hands and shot, and the fact he is willing to hit guys makes me hard and drool at the same time. No need to even think about trading him at this point.

Agreed. Unless it is some block buster to get us a franchise player, but that is not happening. His potential isn't even close to being realized yet....it could be lander like potential as well.

Oh I see you are new here and haven't been around long enough to get the long running joke about lander's potential.
As much as people female dog about the ice time yak is being given. I like it. No need to rush the kid or put any added attention/pressure on him. He can do his thing and learn from mistakes, that are hopefully limited due to less ice time.
