I'm sure they just need a change of scenery... or something.

Watching Kimmo flub the puck at the point on the Powerplay and get caught flat footed is really sad. And with Hartnell and Simmonds also struggling it might be time for a major change.

Seriously, wtf is the point of this debate about Schenn's goal and the degrees of hard work, skill and luck?

Since we are debating luck...

I dont think teams literally create luck, but by working hard and being in the right place at the right time, tend to take plays that would be seemingly harmless and turn them into more fortunate situations. They figuratively create their own luck. Physically, by working hard and being in the right spots they generate a chance to capitalize on those fortunate situations.

If more players could fire the puck like Brett Hull, they could stand wherever they wanted too.

I thought it was: Sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes the bear poops in the woods next to the fallen tree, which, by creating your own luck, you avoided being struck by because you were in the right place at the right time with a bird in the hand and two early worms in the bush. Or something..

Rosehill committed the penalty in the third period of the game, and didn't play the rest of the night,

How exactly did Sielski expect Berube to punish Rosehill last night? Bag skate him after the (frank)ing game?

Anytime someone else in mainstream print/internet media tries writing about the Flyers, I think "this person should have waited for Bill Meltzer's blog to be posted," because Bill gets the game, the nuances, etc. of hockey -- especially those of the teams he covers (that being the Flyers and Stars).

Articles like Kevin Cooney's today (regrettably gave him a click to read his grandiloquent drivel) are examples of a mainstream media more interested in selling the news than reporting it.

I'd love to see Berube beat up Sielski.

There have been media folks in this town for a long time who don't like hockey and really don't like the Flyers.

Always consider the background of the guy writing a given piece and you usually get your answers on if it's gonna be any good or not.

did he get a 10 minute misconduct on top of the double minor? thought that might have happened. either way, i wouldn't have expected him to see the ice. i'm so (frank)ing tired of having an unpredictable asshat on the team who could do something like this at the worst time. flyers could have easily lost the game with him in the box for those penalties. (frank)ing idiot.
- hammarby31

There was like 4 minutes left in the game when his time was up...even if he hadn't gotten the penalty, it's very likely he wouldn't have played with under 5 minutes left in a one goal game anyhow.

Still, he wasn't a guy that listened to his coaches, adhered to systems, played defense, backchecked, or crashed the net (until the end)... yet the puck always seemed to find him nonetheless. Not all of his goals were beautiful snipes, and out of the ones that weren't, you can safely say that hard work probably didn't have much to do with them.

Agreed. This reminds me of my Twitter conversation with one Randy Miller a year or two ago. Good times -- except he didn't block me like he did Jsaquella.
