Not too sure if moving a young, nicely skilled and still learning Gardener ,is a good move .If so what do the leafs fans think their biggest need is - top shelf 15
The Leafs biggest need is for people to start spelling players' names properly. |

D, D, D and more D. But like D that can play D. Oh, and a stay at home D, that specialises in D. |

The virtue of Reimer right now is that he's cheaper than Dubnyk. I'm not sure we'd be terribly more confident in him.
Gardiner is pretty similar in skillset to Schultz, though further along defensively and a little more conservative. - Morris
Not sure I get you - which of the two is further along? |

I would also add that Bernier is much better at playing the puck behind the net.

Gardiner + Bozak + pick for a young stud C
Gardiner + Reimer for a physical shutdown Dman who can play the big minutes so Dion doesn't have to.
Either of those moves makes this a much better team. |

I sure hope they resolve this goal tending controversy and soon! It's a very distracting issue for the team. - deanofnucks

Really? I watched two Oiler games so far and thought Schultz played pretty well - certainly on the offensive side...looks like we maybe looking at the same player, just with different names. Grass is greener scenario. |

No expectations here so every win is a bonus... it's nice to have everyone say your team can't and then do...
On the other hand ... apparently Leafs need defencemen ... we seem to have an an abundance of that position... nah... never mind. |

Just what the Leafs need - more top 6 wingers! Way to go Berger. - 1979AD
Yeah cause you wouldn't want a potential 40 goal scorer, that would make no sense. Especially for a goalie and defenseman that could both be expendable. |

Reimer could become expendable but not at this point. Unless the Leafs get a great offer, similar to the Gardiner situation there's no point in moving Reimer. Besides the return on goalies never seems to be all that jaw dropping. |
