Anyone can.

If it rains, conservative votes suffer, because old people (who skew conservative) don't like to go out in the rain.

That's what you meant, right?

- Atomic Wedgie

In Nova Scotia it rained and was windy till 1 pm today now it's sunny and hot So we'll probably all be messed up and re-elect the NDP....... won't be able to watch the results till after the leafs game though

It's less to do with his slow start and more the fact that the team is loaded with offensive defensemen and could swap Gardiner for an area of need, like a young tough stay-at-home defenseman or a promising forward.
- mikeinbuffalo

I wonder how he would do as a forward?

have you seen Giroux in real life?

I doubt he tops $1.50

- Atomic Wedgie

55 points in 50 playoff games.....I think Carlyle would find room for him.

Maybe they'll give MacWilliam a go? Why don't they play Gardiner with Franson?

I mentioned after Colbourne was shipped (given away) to Calgary for next to nothing, that Gardiner was next to go (& getting blasted for saying this). Carlyle makes it obvious when he doesn't like a player & that player doesn't stick around much longer.
Aside from this the Leafs have far too many offensive D men, but it is a huge risk to move Gardiner at a young age. I like the suggestion of trying him on wing.
If they weren't in a cap crunch, no thanks to Nonis for this, this wouldn't be a big an issue, but I hope they don't make a desperate trade - then things will go from bad to worse.

- 1967_2015champs

I suggested putting Gardiner on the wing last year and was raped harshly for it. So get a tight belt or close your eyes and count to 12.
Personally, I think hed be good on our second line tonight. Ashton in a top 6 role?

I can't wait to read reports tomorrow about how Kadri is slumping.

He's going to play with Bodie and a Coke machine as his wings tonight.

I hold by what I said. Ranger will be top 4 by the end of the year. I hope.
