that 2nd goal was on Ranger, Gards was on his way for a line change when Ranger turned it over, he had to come back....and wtf is Kadri doing playing with Orr??
- allaboutsportz

Ranger was bad on that one but Orr threw them under the bus by turning the puck over. And the injuries/suspensions/pregnancies mean the Leafs 3rd line is Ashton-Kadri-Orr ...not good.

I think Carlyle should skate the poop out of them today. Tons of PP work. But they have a road game tomorrow in Nashville, so not likely.

They need to have more emotion, more drive for next game.

Funny, RC left the ice yesterday, saying they had no focus. Guess he was right.

What the (frank) was Orr doing on the 3rd line anyway. Head scratcher.

Well I predicted a 2-1 win for the avs.
They were simply too much for the leafs. Luckily we had Bernier in the net to keep it close....although the Sarich goal was a bad one.
Bernier has good stats against Nashville...get him back in there.
Gawd Im sick of seeing Orr on the ice...he's horrible...get him out of there.
Gunnar, could he take more dumb penalties please?
Clearly Ranger hasn't been able to transition his skills from the AHL to NHL again.
How many more games does this experiment go for?

Shows there may be some work left to do on the Leafs in terms of depth.

Bodie has looked better, at least in terms of playing the game...not that that is saying much.

Oh there is so much work to be done with this team.
A full season will clearly show that.

They have quite a few good pieces, though.

But depth is crucial over an 82 games season + playoffs.

The Leafs are fine........ even the 77/78 Habs, who was probably the best team ever lost 10 games that year.

They have 5 regulars out. That is why Orr was on the 3rd line.

They will be fine. Bernier showed again why he will be the number one goalie. Ranger better shore up his game real quick or he is done.

That 77/78 Habs team had a goal differential of +176

Thats insane. No team has ever come remotely close to that number

TSN.CA: Darren Dreger reports the Leafs were listening to offers for Gardiner but aren’t shopping him, claiming GM Dave Nonis has told interested parties it would take an “elite forward” for him to consider moving the blueliner. Bob McKenzie, meanwhile, believes Edmonton Oilers GM Craig MacTavish is still waiting for the right opportunity to make a bold move to improve his club’s performance behind the blueline.

Avs would need to take on Liles or some other contracts in order for that to work.

But I do like O'Reilly

It would just be dumb to trade Gardiner now.

No trade will occur.

I was in the building ...Kadri looks like poop without the puck and Smith is an Ahl'er. So lots of minutes for Bozak and Bolland. McLement's wife owes us big. Maybe she should name that kid Eklund.
- The Law

Without a Doubt kadri needs work without the puck. Made some weird plays with it too (passed it to no one once) but i think he was one of a few who had any jump at all. Bozak got a lot of mins but didn't really do anything with them.

Game #4 of the season, I don't think a bag skate is in order after a 2-1 loss.
- Pecafan Fan

If you don't show for games, you'll get worked in practise..... But as i said they have to travel today so i doubt it.
