Defenseman I'd like to see the Leafs make a run at, right handed shooters, strong defensively, struggling with their current teams or expendable:

Adam Larsson
Erik Johnson
Erik Gudbranson
Travis Hamonic
Tyler Myers

My dream: Brent Seabrook Highly unlikely, one can dream....

Players we can offer up: Reimer, Gardiner, and Kulemin.

the only guy on this list that i could see traded is johnson but maybe roy can help him turn the corner. the other guys are pretty key to their teams and none of those teams need a #1 goalie right now. i don't think a kid like johnson would thrive in a hockey mad city like toronto. a lower pressure environment with some good vets is probably what he needs.

I could see Larsson being moved eventually, he seems to have been a disappointment for NJ, and I don't think he'd be too expensive to acquire. We don't necessarily need to throw Reimer into the mix, the proposal would change according to the inquiring teams needs, we'd have plenty of options. I'd be psyched if we acquired Johnson, as I still think he has potential yet to be shown, just needs certain things to fall into place.

LArsson is brutal, Myers is terrible.

Gudbrnson is too young to be counted on for a team looking to compete for the playoffs....and I don't think he's going to get to where people thought he was going to.

Hamonic and EJ I don't think are going to be moved.

I think Carlyle should skate the poop out of them today. Tons of PP work. But they have a road game tomorrow in Nashville, so not likely.

They need to have more emotion, more drive for next game.

I'm giving them some slack. No excuses but 5 regulars out of the lineup showed. By the second period the Av's were taking control. That 2nd Av's goal was on Orr. He failed to dump an easy one into the zone after a long shift and Ranger and Gardiner had already began to commit to a change when he turned it over. Those injuries mean more minutes for guys like Orr and Ashton ...and the Av's just took advantage.

In spite of that 20 minutes of crap in the middle of the game I thought the Leafs were going to tie it up late. If Lupul or Bozak bury one of the good chances late.

I don't know about you man, but I'm done with Ranger. Was probably done after his seventh turnover in the first game against the Habs.

Why do the Leafs continually try to force young players into the NHL instead of working on developing them? Gardiner has an incredible array of skills, he's an exceptional skater, he passes well, he has a decent shot but his defensive awareness positional play and hockey smarts are all below average. Gardiner should be in the AHL working on the parts of his game that need refining, instead he is put on the Leafs to sink or swim. There is no reason at all the Leafs need to risk his development, he won't help them with his poor defensive play, the Leafs are not a real contender to win the cup, they don't need a hotshot prospect in the lineup to sell tickets. Thinking the game, learning positional and defensive play can all be taught, the skills he has cannot be. What is Nonis thinking?

I was in the building ...Kadri looks like poop without the puck and Smith is an Ahl'er. So lots of minutes for Bozak and Bolland. McLement's wife owes us big. Maybe she should name that kid Eklund.
