RC can't send down Morgan.....

He is better in a couple games than a few Rusty guys we have now.

- Byfuglien Ate Me

Remember how good holzer looked at the start of last season?

I'm not saying he should send him down, but it wouldn't be the first time a guy played hard to ensure a spot, and got worse as the season went on.

How did Bernier do tonight?

Should of been 6-1. Gave us a chance when we had no business deserving one

4 games deep and Paul Ranger is making Mike Kostka look like a rock on D...
the guy gives it away nearly every time he touches the puck, and was at fault for Colorado's 2nd goal...Brennan anyone?

Good game boys, You were pushing hard in the 3rd, Avs had to play a pretty solid road game to take that one.

Morgan Rielly was the best forward for the Leafs that game

god is the Ranger experiment over yet - just painful....I guess there really is no other option though.

Congrats, you're team looks better than it has in a long time.

I think Roy has Jean Claude VanDamme in the dressing room staring every one down saying "It's Go Time"

I see Riely staying, Fraser returns, Ranger out.

I mean the intensity.

Last year they were playing with it from the get-go. Even this season, despite their poopty defense, they've been playing hard. Today they were laissez-faire after that first pp.

- Feeling Glucky?

my theory? i think it's hard for teams to get up for these inter-conference weeknight home games. those games are easier to play on the road. see it with the Habs all the time, losing at home on Monday nights to teams like Columbus (pre-realignment) and Dallas for no good reason.

he does look bad. but he's also been out of the NHL for what 4 years? i think Carlyle is smart enough to know it will take Ranger 20 games or so. i think he knew that going in.

Small sample size and that is a big risk to take. Can he handle the long mental and physical grind of an NHL 82 game season as the play gets better and faster?

Young players tend to tail off as the season wears on and that's a big risk to take and it was also eat up a year of his contract.

seriously? you just compared rielly to holzer???
rielly can't go to junior, he is far too valuable to the team.

This game showed something I find really wrong with NHL reffing these days. Apparently an injury is the only way they make a boarding call or call a penalty behind the play. That (frank)ing meathead downie boards jvr but because he gets up it's no call. Lupul gets kneed in the back of his knee, no call.

I think Ranger is playing his way off the team too. What the (frank) was that?

I remember when Luke Schenn was our best defensement for the first couple months of the season when he came into the league and as the season wore on. He fizzled out and got mentally tired.

Rushing a 19 year old because we are lacking viable options is not a good idea.

After a full AHL season, and full training Camp,

WTF does 4 years have to do with anything?

And why would we want to wait through 20 or so games?

Just cause Nonis went "All Captain Save A Hoe" and signed the project Ranger, means poop.

If we gave up on Darcy Tucker, why are Some Leaf Fans defending Ranger.

He is Done. IMO

That was about as listless as I've seen the leafs in a long time. Looked like they were floating out there. No compete.
