All of the sudden Gardiner hate is mind blowing to me. He's off to slow start, I think we can all agree on that, but this is the same guy that played great in playoffs and was an integral part of the future according to most Leaf fans last season. Take a breather boys, he'll bounce back.

I dont think all the rumours involving gardiner is related to people/fans hating on his game, but more the fact other teams are in need of a PMD and see his potential as a possible franchise defensemen....

I like him, but if Nonis can turn him into something that will(in his mind anyways) take us a step closer to the cup, then ill be all for it.

It's not the fans hating his game....it's Carlyle hating his game.

It's less to do with his slow start and more the fact that the team is loaded with offensive defensemen and could swap Gardiner for an area of need, like a young tough stay-at-home defenseman or a promising forward.
- mikeinbuffalo

Sure but still way more trade value after he settles back in. Not now. Rielly goes back if I had to guess which makes the whole topic irrelevant anyway. Trade him in the off season after a great year and Rielly is ready to start next year.

Bingo!!!

And remember, that this is Randy's sandbox and he can pick and choose who gets to play in it. Whether we like it or not.

Im pumped for this game, I expect some solid goaltending from both teams, lots of big hits and at least 3 fights.
- DDM-Coga

Yep, should be a good one. Colorado will be tough to beat they way they've been playing. Unbeaten themselves with 9GF and only 2GA....might be a tough one for the Leafs without a few players to handle...

"...but have a questionable blueline which will have to be taken advantage of ..."

This applies to both teams playing at the ACC tonight.

Don't get me wrong, I'd do the deal, but I get the idea that Giroux would end up committing suicide in Toronto.

He's not exactly a Carlyle-type player.

I don't disagree with the idea, but as a poster above stated, he's at a low right now. They're 3-0 right now without Clarkson and several others, so why the rush to trade him off? Let him get his game back and build his stock, and maybe then if the price is right let him go.

Im sure some nerd can use corsi stats to correctly predict any potential gardiner deal. The corsi stats are always right.
