I'm thinking that, too.

Get Mez-Streit on the ice in offensive situations, Grossmann-Coburn for defensive ones.

Should work well w/ last change... on the road, that's a different story.

My thought process exactly. I still think Mez will get back to form. He has slowly improved thus far.

Need Rosehill to keep Peter Worrell in check.

In 85 career NHL games, Rosehill has 3 goals and 3 assists for 6 points to go with 264 PIM.

In 76 career NHL games Newbury has 4 goals, 6 assists for 10 points to go along with 132 PIM.

Really might need those extra points soon, ya know, seeing how our top 3 lines dont really produce.

Hi Bill.

Ek is saying Dallas might want a defensive D-man. Any interest in Grossmann?

- youarewrong

Maybe, but I don't think he's going anywhere this season.

I agree. He isn't where he needs to be yet. But he has shown improvement from the pre season. Where he was pretty bad at first.

I think he looks fine physically... its mentally where he needs to continue to improve. Imagine going through everything he has over the past two years.. Its gonna take a little bit of time for his confidence to be back up, and to have full faith in his ability again.

Berube is simply re-arranging the deck chairs on the SS Holmgren.

funny.. i have heard that reference (albeit much more vulgar) over and over again. People tend to forget that at the end of the day.. these guys are human.

I like that they are moving Schenn to Vinnie's line. I thought they had some good Chemistry on that one goal. Also I like Coburn being put back with Grossmann. They were a really good shutdown pair. Plus it'll force Coburn to skate more and let Grossmann clean house.

Honestly though they need to perform. Guys get injured all the time. Look at Adrian Peterson. Guy had a horrible knee injury and was back at it. Mez just needs to play

Hopefully Hartnell-G-Simmonds can convert their PP success to 5v5 success. They seem to have some pretty good chemistry on the PP.

I thought his improvement has been one of the few bright spots on this team. But with all the things he's been through, I don't think 3 games is 'slow' improvement. I think he's been on track.

I have to say I am very interested in seeing how Berube handles this team. This is the guy who got in Lindros's face for showing a 'lack of heart'. I predict Hartnell is the first guy benched... then works his way back into the lineup and becomes a big component to the team again. (i.e. you seem to have to threaten Hartnell before he rises to the occasion.)
