Winning a few puck battles along the boards and not making blind passes in the defensive zone would be a good start!

Also you forgot yelling "(frank)ing America" while playing. To those players not from this country they can insert the country they came from

Holmgren is on the hot seat no question about it, not sure I want him pulling the strings on trades. He knows his job is on the line, he may do something that wreaks of panic and desperation.

Are you saying there's something wrong with giving your sister lover all of your teeth?

Seems like Giroux and Laviolette weren't on the same page.

5. Player to watch PANTHERS: Tim Thomas - (G) #34
Thomas returns to the NHL after taking the 2012-13 season off for personal reasons… The two-time Vezina Trophy winner has not once lost a game at Philadelphia, posting a perfect 8-0-0 record with a 1.86 goals against average and .947 save percentage in his NHL career… He has allowed just 15 goals over those eight games… His last visit to Philadelphia was Mar. 17, 2012 with Boston, a 3-2 shootout win… Overall, Thomas has a 13-3-0-2 record against the Flyers, with a 2.18 GAA.

I did not know this. Makes for an interesting dynamic tonight.

Not sure if its says they aren't on the same page, per se, but it seems an acknowledgement that the players knew Laviolette was done like dinner.

From the 2nd to last paragraph. It's English translated from French, so the grammar would make my 5th grade English teacher cringe:

"Behind the scenes, it is said that Claude Giroux and Maxime Talbot, two influential passengers who hold their former coach believes knew that Laviolette was very little room to maneuver. "

So I'm not expecting a big change tonight. I'm hoping for one, but not expecting it. It's too soon...
We'll see.
In fact I'm not sure who is going to show up tonight. Kinda interesting having no idea what lines will look like or how the system changes or which players listened.
Even when they suck the Flyers never bore you!

Did you see the Montreal and Carolina games? Doctors are prescribing the game tapes to insomniacs.

I do think the Flyers show up feisty tonight.

Whether or not that translates into goals is another story entirely.

I saw that part. So where was the part about them not being on the same page? Which is a statement that suggests something completely different from that first quote.

I agree with you. I don't know. I didn't read the translated quote as "Giroux and Laviolette aren't on the same page".

I read it more as "Giroux thinks Laviolette will probably lose his job".
