I see a team with new enthusiasm, but they were outplayed.

Lavi is a good coach that took two teams to the cup.

I think he tried to change but didn't know how to teach a more defensive system. His words were also falling on deaf ears at this point.

Let's not call him a moron because the team got outstanding goaltending and some fortunate breaks.

I don't think they were really outplayed. I think they had a few bad breakdowns, and they spent a few too many shifts in their own end for too long.

The change in net size has made a significant difference.

The support was good and there is a noticeable change in the breakouts. The effort was also good.

They still are making some very risky passes in the neutral zone. I remember one really bad one from Read.

Just get it in and on net. Work your way out from the net.

a couple of times the forwards left the defensive zone before we had possession. For example the shot Versteeg rang off the post, 2 Flyers were turning up ice while he still had it.

They also missed the net on several shots from the point. Or, at least Grossmann did ... but he had a pretty bad overall period, so I guess that's understandable.

But it is good to see some of them relax a bit.
Some horrible moments in that period, but some good ones to.

It was an encouraging period...still some kinks to work out, but really good puck support for the most part and they generated chances from being in the zone.

Yeah. My comment earlier was more in regards to seeing forwards make more of an effort to help defenseman. Willing to sacrifice offense for defense.

That's just the way they need to play right now. They simply don't have the horses on the back end to make plays.

I think they feel about him the way we feel about Couts. His value has depreciated and we don't want to sell low on him.

Unless they get blown away with an offer, I don't think he's available.
