Great, one period. I cannot understand you, on one hand its Gardiner sucks 100% of the time, yet one period of good play (which was preceeded by two periods of very shaky play) you're ready to proclaim he'll be the best d-man by seasons end.

As always I don't base anything on stats but what I see with my own two eyes. Rielly reads the game way better then Gardiner ever dreamed of. Franson had a bad game. Rielly's partner.

He's 19 years old, and he's playing like one Barx. I do agree he's got a lot in that tool box, but how can you say based on all the games you've seen (preseason and Saturday) that he's going to be our best d-man by the END OF THIS YEAR? Again, look at what Trouba his first three games. When Rielly is playing 22 minutes a night intimidating guys like Taylor Hall, then maybe I might buy into the fact he'll be our best d-man this year.

This isn't about stats, this is about one good period being enough to annoint a guy our best d-man.

i'm high but i agree with him.. gards has the skating .. but lots of time he skateshimself out of possible scoring chances.

im not 'buying in' that he will be our best, but to say 'are you even watching the games' insinuates you think it is completely outrageous and impossible.
I think he has what it takes.....prolly not this year, but also not as far away as most assume.
