No you said good!
- Fakepartofme

Schenn is fine, he's just not the elite d-man that people hoped he would be. Not like guys like Myers/Del Zotto and anyone else taken in that draft have developed into anything better. So we missed the boat on Karlsson, so did a bunch of other teams.

If you think Bozak "fits" with the leafs as a number 1 center...then you sir....are laughable.
- Fakepartofme

You're right he doesn't. Hasn't played there yet.

Rielly will be the Leafs best defensemen before this season ends.

i know i know. Although schenn will get better. Defensive D take by far the longest to develop over any position in hockey
- clark_griswold

Ya ya I heard that for years from the schenn lovers on this board (and there were plenty)
He's simply not worth money and really dont wanna see a pilon on our blue line.
Trading Gardiner at this point, is just dumb.

Im not going through this again.
He's overpaid and was drafted a round to early.
Let philly keep that crap.

Trading Gardiner would be dumb right now.

Trading Gardiner before he hit's press row would be wise.

I'm not argueing that he won't develop into something good to great, I won't argue that by the time he is 22, he'll likely be a fixture on out top 2 units......but he's nowhere near being our best d-man, he's probably not even top 5. To expect this remarkable leap in his play is totally insane. You want to see a 19 year old d-man ready to be the best d-man on his team? See Jacob Trouba. And if not for Ryan Suter, see Jonas Brodin.

Double negative?
You believe he'll be our best d-man by year's end? Based on one game where on 2 of the goals he was on the ice for, he was victimized?

it's a cap world. Sign a $8 million centre and who do you subtract? Im a realist. But hey, let's hear other suggestions, because whenever someone says we need a 1st line centre and a better D than Dion, i never hear their solution....

he's pretty solid... waste of a 5th overall pick but still solid. Leafs got the best out of that deal though.

honesthockeys statement was that rielly would be the leafs best dman by seasons end, and the response was 'are you even watching the games?'

anyone watching rielly play thus far has only seen a mere glimpse of how good he is going to be......

So was Gardiner in the first games he played in the Blue and White. Fans and media love to drool over the next big thing, all the while conveniently overlooking their flaws/inexperience.

Great, one period. I cannot understand you, on one hand its Gardiner sucks 100% of the time, yet one period of good play (which was preceeded by two periods of very shaky play) you're ready to proclaim he'll be the best d-man by seasons end.

i dont see a fit with the ducks, they dont have the forward talent the leafs need aside from their top guys who they wont be trading obviously. i wouldnt mind seeing gardiner + for monahan but im not sure calgary would do it.
