clearly you haven't been watching........

the Leafs don't need to play defense

- bobbyisno1

I'm guessing u didn't watch last year's game 7? I also remember in 1988, the Leafs led the NHL in scoring that season, BUT also were one of worst defensive teams too. Sure that was a fun Leaf team during the regular season as they'd score an average of 6 goals a game. But what happened when they played the Blues in the 1st round? Leafs out in 5.

You build your team for the playoffs, that's what it's all about man. Or are u satisfied with just making the playoffs even if they continously lose in the 1st round?

I think the Avs will hand them their first loss, personally...they've been playing well. 2-0-0 9GF 2GA....going to be a tough one either way.

A Win, is the only thing we want to get out of it, stay healthy.

I think a good team effort is the most important thing, As we maintain our overall defensive system that the coach has put in place.. I have a bunch more clichés that I can ramble off, but why

Might be tempted to deal for Yakupov. But patience could produce one-of-a-kind D nucleus of Gardiner, Franson and Rielly. Tough call. #Leafs

The fact that we lost by a goal in OT of game 7, is kind of a counter to your argument. Regardless, this team isn't aweful defensively. We do a pretty good job of keeping shots to the outside and getting in lanes. The problem is turnovers

So we should over look the fact that the Leafs led game 7 4-1 with 10 min's left? To me that speaks VOLUMES of how woeful our defense was last season. We lost game 4 vs Bos due to a turnover, but game 7 was just bad defense.
