no, being the default #1 C gets you 4.25M. we covered this.

I don't hate Bozak. I do hate that now we are stuck with "serviceable" for 5 years.

Serviceable as the #1C isn't going to get this team past the 2nd round of the playoffs in the life of that contract.

3) Draft and develop Centremen. In Progress

4) Trade or buyout Bozak before contract is over. Incomplete

5) Sign Stamkos. Incomplete

that's my point. BOzak fits with the LEAFS. on florida where scoring is non existent, not so much. Unfortunately, ppl on here think offense is all that matters. Grabo over bozak on the leafs roster is laughable if you look past the scoresheets (or even if you did, grabo was a -10 in the playoffs. Now, +/- can be skewed, but man, there's no debating when it's -10 for god's sake)

Exactly, and we all agree ( i think??) that we are happy with our forward group. (Maybe 4th line wingers we can argue on). So you're not getting a #1 centre for any less than $4.2 milly. So if we did our D will get worse, which i pretty much the only thing that is stopping the Leafs being very useful come playoff time (if we make it ).
1 4th line winger (or 3rd if you wanna switch Raymond around) and sort out the D, and we could be onto something here.

if a team is trading for gardiner they also need good young D.. they wont be sending any back.

If you think Bozak "fits" with the leafs as a number 1 center...then you sir....are laughable.

Looks like we have our lineup for tomorrow. We just need to get through these 7 games and Clarkson will come back and balance everything out. Were so thin on RW that were moving Lupul back over for a bit
