TJ Brennan put up 4 goals and 6 points in 2 weekend games..He currently leads the AHL in both goals and points...dating back to last season he has 18 goals, 23 assists and 41 points in his last 38 AHL games..how can we not have this guy on the roster as a #7 D-man @ $600,000?

Well said, But hey man, I hate to say it, but Van, is still the strongest team in Canada to compete for the cup as of now, keep your head up.

I doubt any of the Canadian teams have the talent to go past rd 2. It would likely mean taking down Pitt/Bos/Det in the East, or STL/Chi/SJ in the west.
It would have to be one of those miracle 2006 oilers or that's habs team with Halak
kinda thing

Agreed skill wise no. But tor/ott have the size to really give it to other teams and wear them down.

one of Devane/Ashton could go back down quite easily if they are not gonna dress, and we could call Brennan up for a game to take the spot of someone who is underperforming

maybe...only way to beat Pittsburgh is if Fleury plays like his usual playoff self...just too much skill in that lineup.

think Edmonton has a chance to make it? I think that 4 spot in the pacific is up for grabs with Anaheim's defensive issues and phoenix and Calgary being the other teams at the bottom of the division. Maybe even the 5 spot could get the oil a playoff spot because after the locks in the central (Chi/STL/MIN) , its 4 other teams who missed last year

Well if they play like they did the last period possibly, if they play like they did the rest of the time not a chance.

Might be Peter Holland for Jake Gardiner if the Leafs(Carlyle) are serious about getting rid of him. Don't think that's enough though, the Ducks will probably throw in a high pick.
- duxcup07

That's not nearly close enough to even start thinking about....and the leafs aren't serious about getting rid of him. Other team are calling them. They are not trying to move him.

Quick = Tosakla

saw it....... at least Toskala's was "on net". Quick deflected it into his own net.

Don't be so sure Burn....... I don't want it to happen, but I think its only a matter of time before Gards gets traded this year.

Its hard to figure out a trade for gards.... and if u add in the leafs cap situation even harder. .... to philly fkr clouts would be somthing id be interested in ..... that being said im not in a rush to see him traded

All lost in this trading Gardiner thing is that the Leafs would only be able to move him for a likewise dollar amount contract. They are right up against the Cap. Therefore only someone who is making the same or less will work. Or a very high draft pick.

He has glaring weakness in his defensive zone coverage. RC won't tolerate it.

Let me see....... how much time does Gardiner get to play vs. the other defensemen on the team??

How much time did Gardiner see i the third period of a close game??

How much time did Gardiner spend in the press box last season??

Morning fellas. Anyone watch the Oliers game last night?

I don't think i have ever seem a team as slow as the Devils. Other than Lokitinov??? and Brunner, they're painful to watch. Touching wood here (calm down lads ) but i think the Leafs make the playoffs by default at least. Panthers, Devils, Sabres, Flyers, Lightning, Jets, BLue Jackets are not as good as we are. (Neither are the Habs in my opinion, but i didn't want to start a poop show this early in the morning for poor Doz)
