You are the example that other fan bases talk about when they say Leaf fans over rate their players.

Gio is a MUCH more valuable player then Jake is....Jake may never turn into anything in the NHL. If you can get a guy like Gio for a questionable prospect, you don't hesitate. Anyhow it's all pie in the sky as Calgary would never do that trade.

Giordano just turned 30 like 4 days ago. The guy has MANY good years ahead of him and is not only a top NHL shut down man, he is a great leader...

Reimer and Gardiner for Gio.....I wouldn't even think twice about it.
Remier won't get you nearly the return you think (see Schneider) and Gardiner, while young and talented, has a lot of question marks as well.....Gio would be a great return for those 2...but Calgary would never do it.

Id probably go with option 2 cause id rather go younger than older with coburn at 28 and making 4.5M capspace which is a big chunk

Depth is king in the playoffs, Blues play like the Bruins except their goal tending has held them back. When Boston won their cup Lucic and Krejci led the team in scoring with 62 points each. They only had 4 20 goal scorers. If the Blues got better goaltending I'd pick them as a favourite

I wrote earlier about people comparing them to the Bruins. IMO a mistake. They ain't getting anywhere near the cup.

Lets actually name assets and not put a + in there because you can't make sense of it yourself.

That plus makes or breaks the deal, to be honest. I wouldn't do Kadri and Gards for them, and Philly wouldn't do Ashton and Gards for them. Toronto isn't going to trade their top 6 players for them, Philly won't trade them for bottom 6 players. Trading Reimer to them does nothing, as he really doesn't give them a proven guaranteed successful goalie. It also leaves the the Leafs weak in the reliable back up department.

These trades are pointless. We just traded Schenn, he's not coming back. As for the other offer, wtf would we want Coburn? We don't have the space to take all that salary on either.
