Brodeur, Reimer....Hiller/Fasth. Off the top of my head. Is Thomas a back up?
- Gunslinger

Thomas appaears to be the starter for now.

Agreed. Kulemin goes before him. That's my opinion, for what it's worth.
- Gunslinger

Agreed..Guy like Boland is a must to keep. He's exactly what this teams needs going forward + we gave up way to much for 1 year of hockey..

Best choice, tied with Clarkson IMO.

Clarkson makes sense as well, but he still hasn't played a game
we will know for sure after year 1 thou...

And the thing is, this is a freak year. How often can a team have a Raymond, Franson, Kadri, the goalies and such with those low cap hits. They are going for broke this year, but tough choices are ahead. I'll be enjoying the ride this year cause I think they're the real deal. Next year's team could likely look a lot different.

Most did say 68-70 million for next year though. I never heard a projection above 70.

And Bolland's had a couple of "So-So" seasons prior to this one. He's a guy you need to really think about signing long-term.

I'd rather have Dion.

Dion at 7 plus?

The reason why I don't need to wait and see with Clarkson is how much he respects the Maple Leaf team and history, as well as how much he loves it here and wants to be a part of this team in his heart. Perfect marriage, and to be honest, we love the power forward type players the most. We need our Captain to fight, show passion and be able to score a respectable amount.

Yeah, in the future. But it would make is a contender now.
- RogerRoeper

We dont have to be a cup contender now..This team needs a proven #1 center yet..It's a process we have D coming up that should solidify the back end going forward..

we really didn't give up that much for Bolland.

only gave up draft picks for him, and no first rounders.
if the hawks find a stud with a mid round pick, good for them.

It won't look much different up front, and not likely in net either. The D, yea, that could look a lot different. Forwards might change, but those will be bottom six shuffles. Top six is set and locked down long term. Which I love.

Way too early to write-off Kadri as a #1.

Actually most of the projections in the summer are turning out bad. The media at least is now saying maybe 68 million. At best. I would disagree on Bolland. Thats the type of guy should be wearing a C in this league.
- aminnes

Link??? I haven't seen anything like that. Just the other day they were talking about it, and said nothing of that such thing.

No that'll fuk him like it did Rick Vaive back in the 80's. If Dion doesn't re-sign in TO, I'd choose Lupul, Clarkson or Bolland as the new captain.

depends on how old you are, lol

older you are, the more you hate the habs or the leafs.
some of the younger one's hate both....

Habs look good so far too, just can't play the leafs game, when playing the leafs.
