I love wining when our lineup is so depleted : no Kassian no Burrows

I keep thinking there has to be another player coming in because the 4th liner Dalpe is invisible... Weise and Sestito are doing well enough and the third line including Santorelli and Richardson obviously is exceeding expectations... 11 forwards can't go on forever and perhaps Dalpe stays ... after Kassian draws back in? This lineup won't be scaring any teams beyond the Calgary Flames or Oilers however.

Would be absolutely shocked to see them not add at least 1 sandpaper guy and / or upgrade the 3C sometime after Christmas or the Olympic break.

11F, really cheap guys like Dalpe and Stanton, all add up to saving every penny they can right now so they can afford someone better later in the year.

I highly doubt anyone's claiming this team is a cup contender based on 2 wins over the Oilers and Flames.

Sure it is, but they could bring up an extra forward right now from Utica if they wanted. They're playing a D-man on forward and I'm sure part of that is to keep the cap hit as low as possible.

I am looking forward to Kassian playing. Schroeder I am not really missing and would be fine with him going to Utica, traded, or claimed off waivers.

Actually, as well as the Sunday podcast, I was at the game doing my Stats duties on Saturday night and spent most of the rest of the weekend blogging the Presidents Cup golf tournament for Bleacher Report.

I'm planning to post regularly on weekday mornings but will probably only have time for one post on weekends.
