Cause every fan thinks there team is better than it actually is. Go ask Calgary fans what they think of their team this season. Except for their fans who believe in Tank Nation, I'm sure Flames fans are convinced the Flames can battle for one of the wild card spots in the West.

The flyers have great players with Lecavlier, Giroux, couturier, and B Schenn. They have talent, they just cannot put it all together. They need a good goalie, and they need defense.

Except it is not 3 games..
its last season + 3 games.
The Flyers D is serviceable, their goal tending this season is not an issue.
The problem is the system they try and force on the players they have and the lack of in game adjustments.

Lavi has a definite shelf life as he took 2 teams to the finals but is not a long term Barry Trotz type coach.

When you spend the amount of money on your D as the Flyers have spent, it better be better than serviceable. That roster si put together terribly and it comes down to Holmgren.

The Flyers could have a coaching staff of legendary goons like Dave Shultz but that won't help the Flyers on the ice when they play the Leafs.
