The Flyers D is serviceable, their goal tending this season is not an issue.
The problem is the system they try and force on the players they have and the lack of in game adjustments.

Lavi has a definite shelf life as he took 2 teams to the finals but is not a long term Barry Trotz type coach.

it's even more: it's a game 82 shootout to get in the playoffs in 2010, terrible SCP performance inn 2011, last year's atrocity and now this.

at least Ruff made a finals appearance and went to B2B conference finals at one point. Trotz has won what, 2 playoff rounds in 15 years?

Your wrong, The flyers D is brutal and old, their goaltending is a huge issue.

Why don't the Flyers just trade Emery, Couturier to the Leafs for Gardiner, Bozak & Reimer. Flyers would win the cup!

Leafs can use Kadri & Bolland as the top 2 centers till Coots is ready for top 6 duty.

the flyers defence has one maybe two natural puck movers.... doesn;t matter who u have up front if u can;t get them the puck.

With Lindy, he was so predictable we didn't even need press conferences anymore. We knew who would start in goal. And if someone scored, they got top lines minutes for the rest of the game and start of the next game until that hot hand was gone.

While I am not surprised as the team has struggled for over a year in his scheme, i am not sure who the right guy to come in is with the type of players they have...

i am surprised that they fired him 3 games in. i thought that maybe 20 games in but 3?? is 3 really enough time to assess how the team hears him? i am not a flyers fan but geeze. thats kind of quick especially since there has been some turn over at a few positions.

true. i always wondered why they just cant let the guy coach with the players he is given. too many moving parts year over year. great players but is there enough time to gel? shortened season,changes in goal....
