I never understood why Guy Carbonneau never got another shot. He took our team of crap to #1 in the East. Then the following year we had a 93 points season with so many injuries.... Then he was canned and never heard from again

That's why Ballard could only hire unknown people with very little or no NHL coaching experience. No coach with any credibility would go near the Leafs back than with him around.

Totally agree. I never understood why he was canned in the first place.

He certainly deserves a shot somewhere.

Holmgren should be the one fired for assembling a team with substandard defence and goaltending... but as usual the GM fires the coach to save his own job...

Actually I love Carlito's Way. I mean it don't come close to Scarface but it's still a great movie. Only thing I don't like about Carlito is Benny from the Bronx. I wanna kick him in the head.

I loved Lavy, I just dont think the team was getting his message anymore. I think there was a lack of innovation and little adjustments. Defense was atrocious like always and getting out battled by smaller players along the boards has been a glaring hole.

I think it was time for a change.

The playoffs and the regular season are two different things, I said they haven't had a full 82 game season where they've played well in ten years. I stand by that statement!
