Love the guy and what he's done for hockey in Philadelphia -- except for what he's done for hockey in Philadelphia since about 1983 when he let his son become Team President.

I said it earlier, but I wasn't surprised at all that Paddock is back in the mix -- I knew once he was instructing players at practice that Laviolette was in trouble, but I didn't want to believe it was going to get sideways this fast.

Couturier and B Schenn are 20 years old. B Schenn is still basically in his 2nd NHL Season, and has yet to play a full NHL Season.

And ironically 50% of the morning team consist of Morganti and Keith Jones.. Its almost like a philosophy to not talk hockey.

Loyalty is a great trait to be known for. Remember he is the reason philly even has a team.

Interesting. The Oilers hire Dallas Eakins who's only HC experience is in AHL and it's smart, the Flyers hire a guy who's only HC experience is in the AHL and it's idiotic?

Who was responsible for the split squad in tc and was lavvy thinking about the lawsuit against bank of america too much..... very strange timing.

Bolland's goal in the first game... Streit lost a foot race to Kulemin for a puck in the corner, then got man-handled physically, putting his d-partner and low forward in a really bad position. Puck was in the net almost immediately after.

If you're blaming Streit solely for that goal, you're incorrect. There was no coverage in front of the net, and Bolland was left all alone uncovered. Defense is a team game.

Patrick Sharp also looked nothing like a top-line player when they traded him for Matt Ellison... some guys are worth the wait.

Schenn's was PPG in the PO's and was PPG to start last season I believe... those are good signs.

Bylsma was promoted mid-season after being an AHL head coach. Worked out pretty well for him in his inaugural season.
