Hey der US! Has anyone proposed a Pirri for Getzlaf trade yet? If not, let me be the 1st. Dat Pirri kid is a bona fide top 6 forward on any other team.

- HawkintheD

The Ducks should've done this trade yesterday.....TG would be disappointed with the return for Pirri

Thank God it wasn't Crow who did that. Everyone knows Quick is a great goalie, no matter about a softie or two now and then. Because The Keepers of Hockey Wisdom have ruled him a stud, he is safe. If our guy did that, the sky would be falling today.

It doesn't matter whether or not Quick is viewed as a "stud." If Crawford would have let that happen, the thread would have gone ape shiit over it!

For those interested here is a book like article, and one helluva read, on Tampa's coach, Jon Cooper. Watched this guy spin incredible magic for two years in the USHL vs the Chicago Steel and the rest of the league. http://www.grantland.com/...n-cooper-lightning-reboot

My thoughts on this guy:

I can understand this writer, or any one, would write this, not taking Cooper for a softy. With his boyish looks, calm demeanor and thin build he looks harmless, but that is as far from the truth as it could be. I might be over my skiis on this but after watching this guy carve up the Steel with his players playing borderline intent to injure filthy, sending 19 year olds out to pummel smaller 16 year olds then hiding that punk (CJ Lee) on the bench the rest of the game to avoid the get back pounding he had coming and after talking to GB players' parents who told me Cooper insisted his players fight each other in PRACTICE , even 1st line guys, or you won't play I am of the belief this guy is near being a masochist.

Cooper has one God, that is the scoreboard and any collateral damage of any kind is acceptable so long as his club has 1 more goal at games end. The kind of guy who if you fought and walked away from him only half limp he'd sneak up from behind and slice your throat.

All that said this guy can flat out coach, evaluate not only his talent but yours and is a first rate motivator.

Tampa Bay @ Buffalo tonight.

Lightning have had more scoring chances in first 10 min. than they had all game against da Hawks.

Tim Thomas pulled for the second straight game...remember this past summer when I said it would be tough to play goalie at the age of 40 after taking a year off.....and I was told I was making a political statement because somehow my avatar pic translated to me hating him because he boycotted the white house.....well?

If Enroth keeps playing well don't be surprised if the big move made at the deadline is Ryan Miller.

Disagree - that was such a bizaare goal - even Crawford's biggest detractors wouldn't use it against him.

Yes - half the guys (any women here, BTW?) would say typical Crawford goal - half would blame it on Keith.

If Crawford had done that there would be torches and pitchforks in the street, I have no doubt.

It wouldn't be a conversation unless he's involved.

Why can't we blame it on Khabby's drinking problem?
