Sounds like another Blackhawks TV skit. I can just picture Bollig and Bickell singing Sunrise, Sunset.

Seems like a game of Clue...

The real question is, how long before puck drop will Jackman start jawing?

I don't think the plan was to keep Beach once he was exposed to waivers. I posted as much when he hit waivers. Since he passed through waivers, the organization is forced to pay him. If you don't want him around, and he brings a bad attitude about it to the locker room, then who knows who Beach will corrupt?

It's much like the Vishnevskiy/Makarov situation a couple of seasons back. Vishnevskiy, who was traded to his third organization starts coming in with the attitude of knowing he has no shot at the NHL, starts talking to Makarov. Makarov, who doesn't speak a lick of English, has to listen to this wiener bellyache about how he'll never get a shot and he's headed back to Russia as soon as the season is over with. What is Makarov supposed to think? The only guy he can communicate with is talking all kinds of crap about Russians not getting a fair shake. Of course Makarov says screw it and heads back home.

I doubt the organization doesn't want the same thing to happen again. Safe play is to send Beach far away from the organization.

Good back story on the two Commies.....and Beach has definitely lived his 9 Lives with the Tomahawk.

I think Pirri is slotted as a top 6 forward prospect as well, and that's the problem for him.

In our top 6 Kane, Toews, Sharp and Hossa are set in stone (barring injury). Right now Bickell is the 5th top 6 forward but if for some reason that doesn't work out then he'll be flipped with Saad. That leaves only one top 6 spot open for competition between Handzus, Kruger and Pirri with Shaw also being an outside consideration. Against that competition I don't think Pirri has a good chance.

- DarthKane

I think as long as Bickell continues to raise his game in the spring, that first line winger spot is his.

BTW I saw Morin against the Stars AHL team a couple nights ago. Losing the puck on 1 on 4's and had a goal on a nice catch and shoot which 100% of NHL goalies will stop. I can see why hes not with the big club.

This thread has probably spent more time discussing Brandon Pirri then the organization. One more day Hawks fans. Hope all are well.

Having seen an item of interest on the Internet a few minutes ago, I wish to report a soon to be NHL citing due to all the love for a former Blackhawk seen on JJ board:

There is to be a lineup, change for the NJ Devils. Mark Fayne and Rotislav Olecz are to make their season debut.

Unlike the time when Olecz was at Rockford and it was reported that Olecz had been recalled ...and I did not know it was a joke.

Rusty lives.

I think from here on out, every time Pirri is brought up I'm going to go into a rant about how David Gilbert isn't being given a fair shake by the organization.

WTF is David Gilbert? Seriously, from the 2 games they have played, this group looks motivated and engaged. The PK needs work obviously, from my couch it looks like they changed the system a bit. Though considering they had the two best snipers in the league playing the off side for a one-timer might have something to do with it. Can't believe the comments regarding Nordstrom. That kid is not over matched. The best thing overall for me is Seabrook looks in shape and moving well. Trust me, I am so not an optimist.

Bickel signed a lucrative contract. Bickel is able to deliver some big hits. I do not believe that Q wants him to go out of his way to run a Blues player. But a resounding check when available and at opportunistic moments in the game would surely be appreciated by teammates and fans. Backes against the wall, toast that.

Did it occur to anyone who keeps saying Pirri is slotted for a top six position that he may in fact not be good enough for a top six position and doesn't have the type of game to be a bottom six forward? Kinda like a 4A baseball player.....

Let's look at the evidence.....

It's agreed by all parties Handzus will play no more than 40-50 games. If this is the case Pirri should be shoe-in for the extra forward position because that leaves 30-40 games for Pirri to play and hopefully emerge as the future 2C........and sure he was injured in preseason but he spent the full summer working out with the Hawks staff so.........(crickets).......(tumbleweeds)..........(crickets again)......

But hey if there isn't a spot on the top two lines for him because that's where he is slotted surely some other team would love to have a bonafide top six forward and hey....the hawks could move him for veteran depth on the bottom six or a draft pick or two...Bowman loves his draft picks.....this deal should be easy.....so.......(Crickets).....(tumbleweeds).......(Crickets again)

- UnnamedSource

Hey der US! Has anyone proposed a Pirri for Getzlaf trade yet? If not, let me be the 1st. Dat Pirri kid is a bona fide top 6 forward on any other team.

I would call him an "ape on skates", but that would be an insult to primates in general.

Jackman, Backes, LaPierre, Oshie, Chris Stewart, Torres, Cooke, Bieksa, Hansen, Burrows, Kronwall, Bertuzzi, Doan, Willie Mitchell and Shea Weber can all go play street hockey on a highway. Phuck 'em all!

What do you guys think of Quick's gaffe last night:

Thank God it wasn't Crow who did that. Everyone knows Quick is a great goalie, no matter about a softie or two now and then. Because The Keepers of Hockey Wisdom have ruled him a stud, he is safe. If our guy did that, the sky would be falling today.
