No cohesion, way too much separation between D and F's. Result is tons of time for Flyers in D zone. Slow D = nine penalties. It's just the way the game is called anymore. You get to running around in your zone with no forward support, you're screwed. If they can't establish a forecheck they are toast.

Have you been near Flyers boards, they in full bridge jumping mode over there. Two games in they are none too happy. Their defense is really having some trouble. Funny part is they could not generate any offensive pressure. Streit is a turn style when the play turns the other way.

I don't think there is any question that they have the worst set of defenders in the NHL, and they don't have the goalies that can bail them out. I think Mason and Ray would be suitable goalies with a decent D in front of them.
